We return to Ahava with Kyle Roman. He gives us the true names of the 4 remaining Idigam. Him and Lylith go off to talk while the rest of us return to other things to pass the time. We get a message from Kyle a few hours later saying something about an old nemesis reappearing. As we start to think about who that could be I get a message from Alchimedas in Detroit, he says we need to talk. I will myself there and see a familiar aura in the room. My best friend Vincent has returned. He starts talking about something I really wasn't paying attention to. I told him to get to the point. Vincent has kidnapped Dr. Andersen and will return him if I appoint him as the Prince of Detroit. I just stare at him trying to figure out what he is up to. He must be completely deranged if he thinks we are going to put him in a position of power again. As I stare at his aura I begin to see the black marks of soul consumption. That explains how he got some power back after Lylith had drained it all. It probably also explains why he is mad enough to think his plan is going to work. I tell him he has a deal and he leaves to go get Dr Andersen. I go and tell Samuel that we need him to leave for a bit while we deal with Vincent. I bring Danno in to officiate while the others are on standby.
A few hours laster a portal opens and out comes Vincent with a couple mages and a brute. The brute is dragging Dr Andersen who looks ok. There is some tension in the room as either side seems to know this is going to turn into a fight and we are just waiting to see who strikes first. Vincent breaks the stalemate as he pulls out a katana, it appears to be Jericho's. He mutters something about dominate and looks into the katana and does something to his eyes. He then disapears and we here him running off somewhere. The mages and brute then spring into action. I close their portal while simultaneously telporting in the others. These were low pay lackies and they all died before they had much of a chance. We could sense Vincent was still in the room and he finally showed briefly creating a few copies of himself that sliced us with the katana then disappeared again. I put out of my aura and told him to show himself. He just laughed at me. Apparently that flashy business with the katana at th start was him blinding himself. If he can't see me my aura doesn't work. I'll give him credit for that trick but that won't stop me, I have my own bag of tricks. Vincent then convinced Red to not fight and Danno started backing away toward the door muttering something about having a plan. Taranis and Hector continued to try to find Vincent. I had enough of this shit and closed my eyes and reached out to follow the thread of Vincent's dead pattern. Locking on to that thread I then called down to fuel my anger and sent a jolt of physic energy through the thread. Vincent cried out in pain and surprise as he received one hell of a headache. You can't hide from a Master of Space. That gave me another idea. I knew it was possible to disconnect someones senses using the mind so if I apply that principle but in reverse I should be able to reconnect his sight. I reached out again to his thread and sent a beam of light down it. This time he didn't scream in pain but he was stunned by the fact he could see again. I used that moment of confusion and ordered him to show himself and kneel before me. Soon a battered Vincent appeared and took a knee. He looked like a deer stunned by a car's headlights. I was going to save him for Danno but he was no longer in the room although we could still hear him muttering about having a plan. During the fight Vincent had used the silver side of Jericho's katana to cut up Hector. Hector was not happy with that. One thing I have learned living around Uratha is to not get in the way of them and their prey. I stepped away from Vincent as Hector came to his senses and shrugged of some mind trick Vincent had done to him earlier. Hector saw Vincent kneeling there and just ran at him and popped his head off like a pez dispenser. Vincent turned to dust.
During the fight Vincent has mentioned something about some artifact below the city he had really come here for. I projected my thoughts into twilight and took a trip down. Eventually it opened into a chamber. In the center of the chamber was a dark monolith inscribed with blood red runes. It appeared to be pulsing with Vampire sorcery. I returned to my body and we told Samuel about it. He had some sorcerers who could take a look at it. I teleported them to the chamber and they eventually found the way put. Samuel said he would figure out what this thing was and get back to us. I grabbed Jericho's katana, teleported Vincent's ashes into space and then we went home.
When we got back to Ahava there was no sign of Kyle. Lylith found us and said she did what he asked. She was glowing with the power she had absorbed. She gave each of us a little so that we could now kill an Idigam permanently. The power also gave us limited control over spirits and we felt that they would be a little easier to harm. Lylith transfered the remaining power into the nexus which was now 3/4 the way full. We all retire to get some rest and prepare for tomorrow. Tomorrow we were going into the shadow to hunt some Idigam.
