I go and portal the Prius back home before someone wonders why the hell their is a Prius on the roof of a 10 story building.
Ohm returns from a meeting with Kraven. He gathers us all together sans Padre. Kraven has been scrying on the Autumn court and has seen with his own eyes the Padre telling them about everything he knows about mages. Our weaknesses and who knows what else. This week just keeps getting better. Ohm is trying to control his anger but I'm not. We call the Padre in and confront him.
The Padre apparently was hoping he would get caught. He says he did it because he finds it unfair that the mages can just scry on the changelings and learn their secrets but not the other way around. I tell him that argument matters not to us the simple fact is he betrayed our trust and told them about mage secrets he learned from us because we didn't hide them because we trusted all those in the warehouse. I try to get the point across this has nothing to do with politics or any fighting between supernaturals. The simple fact is the Guardians of the Veil will hear about this if they already don't know and they will come for him. And when they get him they will find out what else he told the changeling court whether he wants to talk or not because that is just what they do. The problem here is the Padre knows things that the Guardians can't know about. He knows things that endanger us all. Danno suggests that maybe the Lady Abigail can do something so we go to the palace and seek her council. She informs us that there is nothing she can do at this point. She also tells us that the Guardians already know and they will act soon. We go back to the warehouse to try to come up with a plan b. Plan b is to find a way to make the Padre disappear. Just about everything we come up with isn't going to fool the Guardians. The only workable plan b is for the Padre to go and hide in Arcadia. He agrees to go. On the way to find a hole in the hedge for him to use I suggest we go into the chapel first. I decided that plan b is not going to work. He will just get caught by a Fae who will put him back into slavery and find out the same information we are trying to hide in the first place. It does not solve the core issue. Plus a changeling being banished back to Arcadia is cruel fate, it is the very place they escaped and have been trying to hide from. I decide the only humane action is to end the Padre's life as quick and painless as possible. I tell him that I can't let this happen for the sake of our mission. I do tell him who killed the Lady of Amber Sorrows and then I tell him he will join her once more. I cause the space in the chapel to warp. The Padre and the stained glass image of his lady begin to twist and shape and they soon occupy the same space. The universe really doesn't like things occupying the same space and tends to react violently. The image of the two is quite bizarre. The Padre's skin seems to reflect the light as though it were made of glass and his skin becomes fractured and takes on moving shapes and colors that reflect the stained glass itself. This all seems to happen in slow motion and then it ends as quickly as it began and the Padre is forcibly ejected from the space and his limp body flies across the room as the stained glass windows shatters into millions of tiny pieces. The others just stare blankly at me. I tell them it had to be done and by the looks on their faces I sense they knew it too.

I never thought it would come to this. I had always thought we could work through our differences but this time the Padre went to far. While his goal may have been noble he did not think his actions through. I told him about how the Guardians would come for him and extract information. And in that information they would find out about Kat and what she was and they would not let that go. They would hunt her down and run experiments like she was an alien at Roswell. When I told him this he realized why I was so pissed and why he had to be taken care of. I must say it was a very strange feeling killing someone with magic in cold blood like that. At first it was a rush of power but that was soon marred by the stink of the abyss. I will always remember that stink, let it be a reminder of my hubris. At that point I didn't care about what the others thought or what the universe had in store. The only thing I was concerned about was how Kat was going to feel about it. We talked about it later and she was definitely sad. I had asked her if she was disappointed and she wasn't. She understood why I did it. I did not do it out of malice or spite. Nor did I do it for any kind of sick enjoyment. I did it to protect Kat. I had warned them all that one night in the warehouse that I would cross the line if anyone harmed her. I don't feel particularly bad about my actions at this point. In a way it was a mercy killing, I put an end to the torture that the Fae had inflicted on him. Either way the deed is done. Time to move on to more important things. All that really matters to me is that Kat is ok with it and that I'm ok with it. And well I'm ok with it.
We kill to protect what is ours.
