As soon as the sun sets we head out to Yellowstone. Kat was familiar with the Roanoke tribe and gave us the general location of their camp and we portaled on in. We knew the pack was on the move and we would have to attempt to track them down, this would not be easy as they were hiding their tracks to keep the pure from finding them. Kat immediately picked up a trail and bounded off into the woods. We walked around for hours losing and picking up the trail. Eventually Kat pointed out a scout hiding in the trees. Danno and I pretended to be regular old hunters lost in the big woods while Kat snuck up behind and knocked the scout out. Since we didn't have a concrete way to distinguish the pure from the Roanoke we kept the scout bound and woke him up to answer some questions. With mage senses and old fashioned intuition we determined this was not one of the pure. We informed him we were sent to help and we needed to see the Chief and he showed us the way.
The Roanoke's temporary camp was built up in the trees like a run down Ewok village. The Chief seemed disappointed at first that his aid was only the 5 of us. We explained there was more to us than meets the eye and he agreed as he sniffed out our auras and realized there was a vampire here and the usual strange looks at myself, the one who smells like a wolf but doesn't seem to be a wolf. Since we had some time before they were planning on breaking camp we decided to go out on a little hunt, see if we could cull the pure pact by a few.
We prowled through the night hunting our prey. Kat out ahead following trails. The pure were quite skilled at not being seen, it was almost time to give up when we got a glimpse of something moving in the shadows. I conjured up some images of myself and set them out near the disturbance and started them off running trying to lure out our prey. A claw swept out of the darkness at my likeness making no contact and the claw's owner realizing it was not a real being. This was enough for Danno to get off a prepared shot with a silver bullet striking it squarely and causing it to limp off into the darkness. It's friends were waiting now that the trap was sprung and 4 pure emerged from the shadows. Two of them immediately changed into their Garou forms and entered into melee with Danno and Kat. Lots of growling and fur and blood flying. The one that attacked Danno had him in a nasty embrace sinking his teeth deep into Danno's neck, it looked quite painful. Another pure entered the fray up in the trees trying to take on Red who was hiding above. Red gave up his position and joined us on the ground drawing the last one down with him. At this point Danno had that look in eyes that we have all come to know oh so well. It still struck fear into our hearts. Danno lost control and sprung after Kat and without thinking I teleported him into the arms of the last pure who had shifted into garou form. At first this seemed like a bad idea seeing what the other had done to him but the universe had already revealed it's intentions to me and I knew the fight would end in victory. The last pure was not able to get a bite of Danno but Danno sure got a bite of him, draining what little life he had left and ending Danno's rage.
We returned to the camp bloody and battered but feeling good as we had struck at least a small blow to the pure. The Chief was impressed and I think his spirits lightened a little as things were finally starting to look up. The sun was on it's way so I sent Danno back to the warehouse so he could sleep in his concrete and refill (I try not to think about these things). The rest of us prepare for long day and help the tribe pack up and move onto their next camp. We hang back a little bit knowing the pure are probably tracking us. Red gets a fleeting glimpse of something moving far behind us so we move off the trail and attempt to blend into the woods. Sure enough a pure scout makes his away towards us. He appears to not know we are here and as he jumps from branch to branch overhead I time his next jump and try to entangle him in a loop of space, he manages to step aside and now he sees me. He drops down to the ground and stares at me licking his lips. He doesn't see the others hiding right by me and knowing they have my back I pull out my dagger and crouch down bracing myself for his charge, staring right back into his eyes. The pure leaps towards me but before he can even cover half the distance a silver streak shoots of of the undergrowth barreling right into him and knocking him back several feet. The others leap from their positions and we quickly dispatch the lone pure. We catch back up to the pack and continue our march.

Tonight I very nearly killed Danno. I made an error in my calculations and put him right into the maws of death. I've seen this rage many times already, I should know how it works, but yet I panicked. When he turned those blank eyes at Kat I didn't even think, I just acted. Sure I know that Kat can hold her own and she is quite skilled at getting out of those kinds of situations but I just couldn't let him sink those unnatural teeth into her neck. As many times as I've seen it, it still sends chills down my spine. I just couldn't let that happen to her. And damn talk about needing therapy, every time I would get close to Kat I would think about that, gah I think I'm going to hurl now.
This was a fantastic night though. A break from the oppressive city. Out in the woods without cars or technology (as much as one can get away from it having a computer tied into your brain). Out on a hunt with Kat, tracking down and killing her mortal enemies together, reveling in their cries of agony and bathed in their blood... Woa, did I just channel Danno? Hmm that was a bit frightening. I must look into a filter for the hallow, Danno really is contaminating the mana.
