Taranis studies the orbs we retrieved from the mana dogs. They are some kind of generator and he think we can hook them up to the spires with some magically conductive wires. I research the sword we got from Balanas. It is called the Life Syphon and it drains power on every hit like the mana dogs did. This effect doesn't actually require the wielder to be Atlantean so Hector will use it. Lylith says she can reforge it into claws so he can use it during his normal attacks. We give the mana puppie to Lylith. She seems to be happy with it and will call it tiny.
Taranis deduces that we can hook the mana dog generators to the spires to help power the nexus. We need a magically conductive wire to do it with. Taranis researches a perfected copper called Kypris. It is supposed to be a super conductor. We find a nearby scrap dealer and get some copper scraps which we melt down into bars. I then spend a few hours passing the bars in and out of twilight. This is supposed to remove the fallen world impurities. After we have the Kypris bars Taranis places them above Lylith's forge and uses the heat to melt the bars. He then lets gravity draw the wire and cools it as it falls. We take our superconductor and attach the mana dog generators, hereby referred to as the MPGs (Mana Power Generator) . We then perform a ritual mana transfer and power up the nexus some more. The nexus now appears to be at 55% power and my math puts its recharge rate up to 5% a day. After we first used the nexus we calculated it's recharge rate at 1%. The past few weeks have been fruitful. Little over a week and we should be able to use the nexus to unmake the rift.
