Peppermint Bark

Ingredients:

• 2 Cups (12-oz package) Netsle Toll House Premier White Morsels

• 24 Hard Peppermint Candies (unwrapped Brach's Star Brites)

• Card boxes or paper bags

• Pink or red tissue paper

Makes 1 Pound (5 boxes) Make 50 boxes

Directions:

• Line baking sheet with waxed paper.

• Microwave morsels in medium, microwave safe bowl on Medium-High (70% ) for 1 minute

  • • Stir

    • Microwave at 10-20 second intervals, stirring until smooth

• Place peppermint candies in heavy duty plastic bag and crush using a hammer (not on counter, but on cement or similar hard surface that can be damaged)

• While holding strainer over melted morsels, pour crushed peppermints into strainer. Shake to release all small candy pieces. Stir morsel-peppermint mixture

  • • Keep large candy pieces.

• Spread peppermint-morsel mixture to desired thickness on prepared baking sheet

• Sprinkle with large candy pieces. Press in lightly

• Let stand for 60 minutes or until firm.

• Break into pieces

• Place in bags or boxes wrapped in tissue paper
