2014 Ford Fusion Backseat Gets Stuck Down. This is how to fix.
The larger backseat of the Ford Fusion gets locked in place by the middle seatbelt when it is folded down to load large items. Fold the smaller seat up.
The seat bottom must be removed. There are two latches on either side of the seat. Slide these to the side, and pull the seat forward, up and out.
Pry the backseat up as high as possible. Use a T50 Torx bit with a 3/8" socket wrench to loosen the middle seat belt. I put the Torx bit and socket wrench in the glove compartment.
Once the bolt is removed, the seat can be raised and the bolt and seatbelt mechanism returned.
This has happened enough times that I am not going to fix it again. So, I instead I removed the middle seat belt and draped it over the upright seat.
