AT&T SmartHome [Network] Manager

As of 0APR2020, SMH only handles devices connected directly to the AT&T Gateway, and it cannot handle devices behind other switches or APs I have multiple switches, and multiple APs.

It is a nice start but it is far from complete for today's home networks.

This is link to a YouTiube video explaining AT&T SmartHome Manager (SHM), which is a free app for users with AT&T internet. The SmartHome manager app will run on your smart phone or laptop.

The SmartHome Manager provides many of the features available on your Gateway, but in a more user-friendly way.

Instead of help, SMH has an Assistant.

AT&T SHM also provides some data that is herder to get from your Gateway. Login by clicking on SMH and entering your AT&T email and password.

I had issues running with Firefox. I got a 404 after clicking on data used by device. I switched to Chrome and allowed cookies and everything worked fine.

Here are some of the tools

• • The dashboard shows a count of the number of connected devices

  • Network Health Check: It is unclear what this is trying to show.

  • Data usage is by port, and not by device

  • Speedtest: This runs between your gateway and the internet

    • • I have gigapower, and get 993Mbps down and 953Mbps up

      • But my laptop Wi-Fi NIC and AP cannot run at the above speed

      • Using ATT Speedtest my laptop AP yield: 472.6Mbps down and 341.1Mpbs up
