HVF MD Disclaimer

I do not speak officially or unofficially for the HVF MD. The opinions on these pages are my own and do NOT represent the view of the Metro District,

I've worked for many companies that first tried to restrict all employee social media posts. IIRC, courts ruled against this. So, companies moved to a disclaimer policy when an employee published on Social Media. I've used disclaimers on social media posts for over 10 years. 

On 22DEC2025, a board member told me I could not, or should not, publish anything about HVF MD on social media. Given my experience above, I do not believe this is a legal ruling. So, on the same day, I asked for clarification. As of today (26APR2026), I have not received a response. As a board member representing the residents, I believe I am obligated to provide my opinions to HVF residents. I was sent a Social Media Policy on 24APR2026, which I intend to comply with. Lacking a response to my request, I created a disclaimer similar to the one I used at AT&T. AT&T legal provided example disclaimers to its employees. I will put this disclaimer or a link to it on my social media posts. I used a disclaimer generator to create a draft, and then edited it for length. 

From time-to-time, I will update or modify the disclaimer as I receive more or better input.

My opinions may be incorrect. Regardless of my position, I am not posting as a representative or spokesperson for the HVF MD. My opinions do not necessarily reflect the official policy or position of the HVF MD. The HVF MD is not responsible for errors or omissions in my posts.
