Create a Comment Section or Page

The New Google Sites doesn't support comments directly. Googling around and I was able to create comments doing the following

Create a google account. I've had one for years. I am not sure what the steps are.

Add a Comments page

Open a browser and go to

https://docs.google.com/forms

Select QUESTIONS

Click + to create a new form

Change title to Comments

For the first question, change to Your Comment

Make it required and use type Paragraph

Click + to add another question

Change to Your Web Name

Make it required and use type Short Answer

Click + to another question

Select the enable email collection and the form will complete this for you

Click on Title and it should change to the name of your form

On this Google Sites, create a new page called Comments

Click on Insert and select Forms, then click on the list icon and the form should be there

Save the page

Add "Add Comment" as a link to the footer

Add a spreadsheet to store Comments (responses)

On the Google Docs page above

Select RESPONSES

Click on the create spreadsheet icon

Click create

In a browser go to

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets

Hide the column containing the email address

Display the comments

Create a new page on google sites

Select Insert

Click on Sheets

Choose the spreadsheet created above

Add "See Comments" as link to the footer
