Battery for Raspberry Pi

Here is a very easy way to use a battery to power a Raspberry Pi.

This guide assumes the Raspberry Pi is configured and running.

  • Any similar battery pack will do

Steps:

Charge the battery pack

Shutdown raspberry pi and unplug from wall outlet

Plug USB to microUSB into battery pack and into Raspberry Pi

Depending on the model of Raspberry Pi, the peripherals and the CPU clock speed, a Raspberry Pi can run for 8-10 hours on a battery like this.
