ChatGPT
In 2024, I transitioned from using Google search to Bing, with DuckDuckGo being a close contender. The primary reason for my switch was the relevance of search results. On Google, I often had to sift through irrelevant content to find what I was looking for.
I also replaced Safari, Firefox, and Chrome with Edge. To enhance privacy, I generally use InPrivate windows to minimize tracking by Edge/Bing.
Regular Edge windows feature ChatGPT. Moving forward from January 12, 2025, I plan to use ChatGPT for creating projects and reviewing this website's pages. There are numerous excellent tutorials available on writing effective ChatGPT prompts to achieve desired results.
ChatGPT generated an image similar to the one on the left, which I then painted using acrylics.
ChatGPT 4.0 and Amazon Echo
I use Amazon Echo and verbal commands as my smart home automation "hub". Alexa is limited in its ability to answer all but the most rudimentary questions.
It is very easy to add ChatGPT to Amazon Echo.
Open the Alexa App on a Smartphone
Use the "hamburger" menu (3 lines) to get to Skills & Games
Click on Skills & Games
I searched for ChatGPT 4.0
For the top ten, I looked through the user stars.
I chose Hey Chat GPT
And enabled the skill. To test try:
