Alexa

I've looked at and tried many home automation hubs. I want something that is easy to use by my wife and I. It should require little to no maintenance.

I am using Amazon Echo (aka Alexa) as my home automation hub.

WeMo Light Switch Dimmer

I added a dimmer for the family room lights and the ceiling fan. I followed the directions and everything worked. Using voice commands, we can turn the fan on and off and decrease/increase speed of fan and brighten/dim the light.

Ring

I followed the directions and Alexa recognizes when the doorbell is pushed. This isn't really necessary

Nest

I followed the directions and Alexa connected with Nest thermostats. Using Alexa, we can get temperature and control both the upstairs and downstairs Nest Thermostats

Roku

Not much luck here
