The Sanctifier

We live in a crass and base world that destroys the sacred.

Everything in the Diverse is sacred. But a wise person admits that there are degrees of the sacred. The most sacred thing in the cosmos is the power of the Diverse itself. This force inhabits all things, all life, all plants, all animals expressing an infinity of particular sacred entities. When an enlightened person looks at Nature she or he sees spirits and souls everyplace, a polytheism of the cosmos, and at the same time a monotheism that connects to the prime power of all existence, the Diverse. We see a temple in a toad and a pond aquiver with souls.

The most sacred thing in a Human being is the higher self that grasps the diverse nature of all things, including Human beings, and then acts in a Diverse manner. The Human being is a unique being that manifests a particular and specific sacred expression of the Diverse, one that acts as an individual according its own laws, and at the same time is self aware of the Diverse. The Human is the self-aware sacred.

And when we act upon the world we must revere the sacred, the good person raises standards and protects what is sacred. This person is a “sanctifier”, who sanctifiers our behavior so that we do not fall into self absorption, relativism, pragmatism and materialism, and then degrade and harm each other and the world.

The iso-thinker attacks the Diverse and only sanctifies at best one thing or entity, but the diverse thinker defends the Diverse and sanctifies all phenomena from the smallest rodent to an empty field. And when we grasp that Nature is sacred we will soon grasp that so are Human Beings.

Where are our “Sanctifiers” today? Who will go out and sanctify things and places in our world. Who will say this is “sacred”, you cannot destroy this, you cannot build here, you cannot exploit this, you cannot market this?
