What is Iso-thinking?

Iso-thinking is another kind of behavior that opposes differentiation. When you are an "iso-thinker", your mind cuts up everything, you "isolate" everything. You think there is one answer to everything -- one law, one theory, one principle, one cause, one source, one point of view, one behavior, one culture, one value, one purpose, one function, one need, one leader, one mind, one power; one, one, one, always one. In the age of suffering we all have drab cells in iso-think’s pavilion of the solitary.

Isolation is the perception and method of cutting up relationships, connections, collections, or wholes in a search for an absolute truth, essence, law, principle, ethic, concept, theory and so on. The goal of isolation is control and power, though initially the intent may be clarity through extreme simplicity, or order by very simplistic methods. The psychology that leads to iso-think includes fear of change and the new, lack of faith in one’s ability to manage complexities, and a very immature skill level that cannot handle problems that include more that one element. And while this is the start of iso-think, it quickly is wielded by systems and manipulators.

Iso-think also seeks to avoid conflict; it seeks harmony and ease in all things. But the Diverse by its nature creates a level of conflict in the world and within yourself. Its vast complexity creates sets of contradictions and conflicting points of view. Conflict is a natural product of the Diverse. But this is not a bad thing, for it expresses individuality and difference. And more, a higher kind of harmony can be achieved between these distinct entities. But iso-think rejects this because intellectually and emotionally it cannot stomach conflict, and, ironically, the result of its efforts is to create the worst conflict of all.

Lords and cults with paper gods have wrapped our eyes so that we cannot see the Diverse. The paper gods of iso-think blind us to the truth of the cosmos and ourselves.

Iso-thinking looks at Diverse thinking, and sees it as chaotic at best, sometimes dysfunctional, and insane at worst. But it is iso-thinking that is flawed, for it always fails at understanding the complexity of the cosmos and Humanity, and it never achieves any true control or power in the end. It constructs realms of dictatorship, where the Diverse is kept out by laws, force, proscription, mutual delusion and vast “cult-a-ramas” of iso-think. Since its essential nature is a departure from Diverse reality, it can only survive if it continuously and vigorously attacks reality, and builds up its socially organized psychotic break. It builds up small realms of control by making larger and larger dikes to hold back the force of the Diverse, but the more land it frees, the closer the dikes come to collapse.

Iso-think is at war with the Diverse, and grows by promoting fear and hate of the Diverse; it is a jingoism against the cosmos and our own hearts and children. Iso-think produces delusions you can clutch, fallacies you can touch, and material crutches. It turns delusion into reality and reality into delusion.
