FORMS OF LIBERATION
εἶδος of Spirit:
S [Subsume] >> D [differentiation] + U [undifferentiation] >> W [whole]
Or S >> D + U >> W
S [Subsume] >> -D [negative differentiation] + –U [undifferentiation] >> A [anguish]
Or S >> -D + -U >> A
A [anguish] >> E [emply] >> S [Subsume]
Or A >> E >> S
THESE ARE SOME BASIC NOTATIONS FOR SPIRIT
1]
Love ------->
Ethics-sociality ------->
Soul --------->
Rekath ------------>
These are active forces of differentiation seeking undifferentiation, seeking connection, responsibility, knowledge -- breaking out of isolation.
2]
Origin/'god' >>>>>>>>>> objective subsume >>>>>>>>>> subjective subsume >>>>> differentiation >>>>> emply to subsume
A subsume-emply circle, we move from origin to subsume types, then out of a subsume, then back to a subsume, an emply.
3]
Subjective subsume of transcendent feelings >>>>>>>>>> differentiation of feelings and analysis >>>>>>>>> emply return to transcendent feelings with philosophical-theological frame
A spiritual circle of feelings to paradigm of concepts to feelings again
4]
Value dialectic: phase 1 >>>> phase 2 >>>> phase 3 >>>>> infinity
Fairly obvious, we seek growth in many ways, stage to stage. This is part of spiritual existence to learn and get better and teach
5]
Entity//Paraform >>>>>>>> balance
That is, an Entity sits on top a Paraform which can be several things described below. This Entity must find a balance with this other thing or it will perish.
More specifically:
Human being//ground >>>>>>>>>> balance
Human being//environment >>>>>> balance
Human being//eternity >>>>>>>>> balance
Ground is the sub-structure that a human being rests upon: needs, upbringing, society et cetera…a spiritual infrastructure………
Environment can be social but most importantly it is NATURE. Humans not in balance with NATURE will perish. The Law of Home is violated……
Eternity refers to the long-term existence or eternal existence of things and processes and even ideas that outlast temporary, mortal, short run human lives and human cultures. If you do not understand eternity in your life, you will not know how to act in the fleeting here and now, how to create the future, how to create a chain of eternal existence….
6]
So without balance we have:
ENTITY >>>>> NON-ENTITY
The only state that does not require balance is death, nonexistence, the past tense. An entity passes to non-entity because of imbalance…
BALANCE TYPES AND NOTATIONS
1] Ideal Balance:
>>>>>>> B <<<<<<<<<
B as balance point. Arrows represent ranges on each side of the balance point.
2] Balance versus extremes:
NEGATIVE|>>>>>>>>>>> B <<<<<<<<<<<<< |NEGATIVE
This marks off the extremes of the range or spectrum where there is combination with the opposite. Negative represents no combination on synthesis. It is pure iso-think, absolutist, extreme view.
3] OR in more detail applying this model to specific dynamics of the Forms thesis:
NEGATIVE DIFF | DIFF >>>>>>>>>>>> B <<<<<<<<<<<<< UNDIFF | NEGATIVE UNDIFF
EXTREME SUBSUME | indistinction >>>>>>>>>>> B <<<<<<<<<<<< distinction | END OF SUBSUME STAGE
NEGATIVE WHOLES-CHAOS-DISSOLUTION-INTERSTITIAL | weak wholes >>>>>>>>>>>>>>B <<<<<<<<<<<<<< rigid wholes | THIS IS THE A-STITIAL CONDITION OF PURE STRUCTURE
STASIS-NON EVOLUTION | >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> B <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< | SUPER EVOLUTION, CHAOS
IMPRACTICAL GENIO | >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> B <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< | PURE REPETITION
NO ATTENTION TO ENVIRONMENT | >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> B <<<<<<<<<<<<<<< | NO ATTENTION TO SELF NEEDS
NO ATTENTION TO GROUND | >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> B <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< | NO ATTENTION TO STRUCTURE BUILT ON GROUND
NO ATTENTION TO STASIS - ETERNALS | >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> B <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< | NO ATTENTION TO SHORT TERM MORTALITY
4] Balance not as equidistant, pure middle, ideal:
>>>> B <<<<<<<<<<<<<
In this case, the balance point has a lean or bias.
OR:
NEBIAS >>>> B <<<<<<<<<<<< BIAS
5] A reversal or diversal appears:
DIVERSAL of: NEBIAS >>>> B <<<<<<<<<<<< BIAS leads to NEW: NEBIAS>>>>>>>>>>>>> B <<<< BIAS
6] Balance as external conditions evolve:
EVOLUTION OF: >>>>>>>>>>>>> B <<<< then BIAS BECOMES: NEBIAS >>>> B <<<<<<<<<<<< BIAS
Here evolution creates a diversal of its own. Radical new conditions arise in technology, globalism, environment, IQ, medicine et cetera. These are more external.
7] Balance as internal conditions evolve:
Another evolution is balance as conditions get fixed. These are more internal. An example might be currently in the USA we have government providing assistance in medical care, in health needs. If ideally the economy gets reformed so that people have higher incomes and can afford private medical plans then we have the BIAS switch -- that is, we don't have to stress government as much, the BIAS and NEBIAS mix in politics and economics shifts.
8] Balance and the value dialectic:
We may install a Value Dialectic driver in an equation. That is, we may want a whole or system or even collection to advance by stages to a higher level of efficiency, output, 'good', ethics, wisdom, cooperation, peace, non-harm and et cetera. This is typical of human behavior. Transcending is part of our nature. And further in Nature, in the Cosmos we have a version of this Value Dialectic pushing evolution too. This dialectic has no mind or thoughts but is quite powerful and completely inscrutable.
9] Evolution adds new things to a range and subtracts some old things too:
Note also that under the process of evolution the range of things that are bias or nebias will change new things will appear, old things may disappear in the range. This causes more adjustments in the notion of 'balance'.
10] Now a difficult thing: MPOV and balance:
Each individual or group or stage of history and so on will see balance differently. MPOV means multiple point of view.
X's MPOV sees: >>>>> B <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
But Y's MPOV sees it another way: >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> B <<<<<<
11] If you put it all together you would get a maddening TPOV:
>> B' > B'' >> B ''' >>>> B '''' >>>> IDEAL B << B '''' <<<<<<<<<< B''' << B '' <<<<<<<<<<< B'
A complex range of many 'balance' points arises.
This could be called the TPOV. The total point of view. It is a useful notion but be careful at the same time because there is really no total point of view though we are forced, if we are complex thinkers, to gather as much as we can together in our fully explored range.
12] Last point -- Balance and politics:
As alluded above we can have many extremes in regards to differentiation, subsumes, creativity, evolution, wholes and so on.
When we apply these notions to the field of politics we are thinking in these terms:
Extreme individuality vs healthy individuality vs group think
Extreme free market economy vs democratic economy vs socialism or state capitalism
Nationalism as extreme diversity! vs multiculturalism vs uni-culture group think
Global disconnection vs healthy loose globalism vs global centralism
Apathy disconnection vs direct democracy vs elite controlled democracy
Et cetera. We may go on about internet-media-entertainment-art, environment, government and so on.
All of these could be put into specific ranges with balance points.

THE FINAL EQUATION ABOUT NATURE:
Lextinction <<human<<BALANCE
>>nature>> Jsurvival
NOTE: WITHOUT BALANCE THERE IS NO EXISTENCE FOR US. NATURE WILL CONTINUE ALONG WITHOUT US. NATURE DOES NOT NEED US OR NEED BALANCE WITH US.
NATURE AND EXTINCTION
The most important form of negative differentiation is about Nature and the environment. Whether a species is happy or unhappy becomes irrelevant if it destroys its fragile natural home.
Extinction is one possible result of negative differentiation. In this case an intelligent life form has acted unintelligently toward Nature. Why? Because it has long ago cleaved from Nature and sees itself as separate from Nature pursuing its cultural desires and cultural conflicts. This is a special kind of negative differentiation that propels the mind into an insulated bubble free of concerns for the environment and the planet – ignorant of the suicidal results. This is an over-differentiation, super-differentiation.
Thus, we have a variation on the equation for Anguish: X for extinction replaces A for anguish.
S >> -D + -U >> X [extinction]
Extinction ends anguish and consequently there is no more Human development, no chance to correct problems, no possibility of establishing a healthy whole. No possibility of getting to the next equations.
In this case, X sends us back to the Subsume of Nature and the cosmos. Our decaying bodies and our material innovations return to the earth. We become memories with no one to remember.
In this scenario, our Ex-nature behaviors completely absorb us. These include all of the 'Human' behaviors that distinguish us from Mother Nature; this would include science, art, culture, economies etc. Ex-Nature behaviors also include the striving for longevity, good health, happiness, recreation and more. Our conflicts and sectarianism are also Ex-nature activities.
Other Ex-nature perceptions that are moral, psychological and spiritual have the possibility of limiting our self-absorption, our self-warring. And they can point to a change in our relationship to our environment, to Nature and animals. But if they do not lead a species, then our other activities may well destroy our planetary home.
Getting out of the Human Box to see Nature is difficult for a Human being in this age of electronic technology, mega-cities and vast industries. The distance created between us and Nature confuses us as to what our Home actually is. Home is the critical framework idea of this epoch, for without it there is no future for us.
Disconnection from Nature is the most severe form of negative differentiation, extreme differentiation. It leads to absolute ruin for Human beings and the planet. Consider these things:
NATURE EXISTS!
In this age of climate change and environmental poisoning and destruction, it is imperative to grasp that Nature exists. This is the key realization of our epoch, otherwise we have no more home and thus little chance of solving our many cultural problems. Nature exists! Or you won't.
NATURE IS A DICTATORSHIP.
Follow its rules. Nature is not a democracy. Humans need democracy amongst themselves but our relationship with Mother Nature is not that of discussion and compromise. It is a matter of Law, ruthless scientific law.
NATURE IS OUR 3RD ACTIVITY.
We have three basic activities. We generally understand that there is personal activity and social activity. The third form is in relationship with nature. This can be hidden from the average person or be a self-hidden via distraction, lies, delusion and aversion. This third activity is the foundation for the other two activities, without Nature there is no You and Them. (See ex-nature entry)
NATURE COMMANDMENTS:
Reduce the Human Footprint
The impact of our technology and economics on Nature is killing Nature. We are today beyond the pale. The footprint of humanity on Nature is far, far too big.
Control Our Ex-Nature Behaviors
Humans have behaviors that separate us from Nature; these are Ex-Nature drives. These include our culture, economics, science, art, entertainment, values, the need to escape suffering, the need for long life and immortality and much more. We tend to get lost in our self-made world with all of its demands, seductions, distractions, necessities, competitions and struggles.
Think Out of the Human Cultural Box
This requires thinking out of the biggest box of all, the box of Human needs and desires. We must learn to break from of these commands, to let them go; in this way, we can see something highly important that exists outside the box. And this is Nature. Nature exists beyond of the Human Box. While we are in it, we cannot see animals, plants, or ecosystems; we are distracted and deluded.
Find the new balance point with nature
Thousands of years ago in tribal society we had a balance point with Nature. Since then we have lost it, today we far out of equilibrium. Our task is to find the new balance point with Nature. This means a reduction of harmful activities, population control, retreating to cities and so much more.
The Ecosystem’s Survival is Our Survival
Know that Ex-Nature behaviors are all rooted in Nature; this is our root, our foundation, our Ground. In the end, we are a child of Nature and we are connected to Nature though we are living in a megacities and virtual electronic cities. We are the child of Nature though we are quite different from it, and our survival is completely dependent upon Nature’s survival. If Nature dies, Ex-Nature dies, if Nature thrives, then Ex-Nature can thrive.
We Are a Guest In Nature’s Home
There is an incorrect view of our Home. Know that we Need Nature, but that Nature does not Need us. If we destroy the Ecosystem, Nature can create another one that might be inhospitable to Humans. The right perspective is that we are a Guest in Nature’s Home; we should act accordingly being respectful and helpful.
We Can Establish Co-Genio
Genio means creativity. Co-Genio means the parallel creativities of Nature and Human. These two creativities can coexist; we can produce a harmony between ourselves and the environment. Nature can continue its evolution and we can continue ours.
Establish the New Forbiddens
We are at a stage of moral judgment. We are at a phase where a new codex must be written. A new moral and ethical period appears when we agree upon New Forbiddens. The attack upon Nature is certainly the first New Forbidden, for without honoring this precept no other commandments are relevant or possible.
Use Communication and Force
There must be a thorough communication amongst the Human species about the new attitudes toward Nature. But, ultimately, we must go beyond communication to the use of Law and Force. This is because of the high crisis stage we have created by our ignorance, apathy and greed. And more, when we Enforce the law in the harshest way, then this communicates to all potential and future transgressors that punishment will be catastrophic and swift. The survival of the Ecosystem is our survival, when we are dealing with survival issues the penalties must be severe, for we are dealing with the collective future of ALL people, we cannot be overly concerned with the “rights” of the criminals.
New Home, the Diverse, Genio. A NEW HOME. The third key notion of this treatise is that of a “New Home”. The next logical step, after we postulate the need for Human Genio and to end the crisis of creativity, is to change the world we live in. Humanity needs a New Home, a new civilization. The New Home is both social and within, a new home within ourselves to house our psyche.
The Diverse applied to Nature produces the concept of "Co-Genio", the parallel creative evolutions of Humanity and Nature, the harmony of Human and animal. The Human "Home" is a Diverse home that includes the Human-made world of our culture, but also our natural environment, this too is our Home. This home is a whole, a Diverse Whole composed of Humanity and Nature.
And this Home reflects that Humans are both of Nature and at the same time are not of Nature, that is, of Ex-nature. There is a side to us that drives us further into culture, science, religion, technology, art and more in an eternal evolution. And more we are driven toward not only longer lives and better health, but also immortality. Our need to strive and improve is also an Ex-Nature behavior. Our abstract lives of ideas, creativity, morals, spirit and more also express this unique side to our personality.
There is nothing wrong with being “Human’ and pursuing our Ex-natures, but we must do this with proportion and wisdom. Ultimately our existence and our futures are grounded in Nature. If Nature dies so does Ex-nature, that is, us.
It is time to establish a balance with Nature, a harmony of two parallel evolutions, two creative processes, Co-Genio. And this means we must establish the new “forbiddens” in regards to the ecosystem, communicate them to all and use force to enforce them.

ABOUT TRANSITIONS:
When showing transitions for bad to good or good to bad:
L>>>K>>>J
J >>> K >>> L
This arises as we cross a boundary of behavior or perception or even 'paradigm'. We acknowledge a middle position. The middle may be short or long, in certain aspects and not in others. The middle may refer to large blocks of evolutionary time like our moral and spiritual and philosophic development in a middle position or not? Or is the human species in a middle position in its evolution or worse?
We may further ask is the middle position simply a zero state? A state of no motion, sterile, spayed, paralyzed, baffled, bewildered, mystified. And not necessarily a mixed state that can go one way or the other, but a state that is dangerous and self annihilating. And these states exist within depressed persons, in whole societies where people have disposed of any hope or joy or self identity and meaningful activity and so on. And these states can repress leaders and scientists and experts too.
So:
Negative >>> Zero >>> Death
Or:
Positive >>> Zero >>> Death
In other words, in a transition state is survival and death, hope and hopelessness, progress and demise, action and inaction, energy and loss of energy.
So. zero is equality of counterforces, the negative and positive adding up to zero.
But also zero is annihilation, death….nothing.
Two meanings of zero contend in the middle. One zero leads out to survival and evolution, the second zero is your demise.
????????? DEATH ZERO ⇋ LIFE ZERO ?????????
Are we having this Zero struggle right now about GLOBAL WARMING?

Notes on Nature and Ex-Nature
(excerpted from The Axxiad)
The Evolution of Human
There is Nature and there is “Ex-nature”. Human beings are on a long evolutionary road out of Nature to Ex-nature. Humans are by nature both of Nature and Ex-nature. These are notes toward the development of a thesis.
In the prior two sections of this Axxiad, there has been affirmation of the inner Human Diverse, an acceptance of it all. Though we have a progressive evolution to new historical stages, we bring all we can to those new stages, bringing our whole family along. We do not give up our inner diversity in exchange for a handful of issues that are beckoning us forward for the moment.
At the same time, while we are of Nature, we are also of Ex-nature, that is, we are different from Nature and moving beyond Nature [Though not completely, for Nature will always be within us and will serve as a foundation or ground for our leaps.]
What is meant by Ex-Nature? Here are some features of Human evolution and its path in brief for you to consider:

-difference, variety, change, duality, range, the new, simultaneous evolution, chaos to kollects
II
The Human Differentiates from Nature
-the mind is a new level of the Diverse, it splits from the physical level, the mind is the Diverse perceiving the Diverse, the Diverse feeling the Diverse
III
The Human Differentiates Continuously
-a Human being is continually differentiating as an individual, as a creator. Humans are ceaselessly forming new social collections and wholes
-Civilizations are defined by these degrees and forms of differentiation. The further you go back in time the less differentiation you will find
IV
Human Individuality
-in what particular ways does a Human being differentiate? In experiences, attitudes, philosophies, emotions, biases, in self identity
V
Human Genio
-Genio is the creative force in all of us, and the force of our self re-creation
VI
Human Good and Evil
-some people say that good and evil are eternal, that they are a great circle, that things never get better, that you must accept this and disengage from the world and its struggles. But many would say this is a cynical idea. We say that each struggle of good and evil drives Humanity to a higher level of development, that there is progress, that society and personal behavior do get better. Just look at our evolution over the last ten thousand years. Evil changes in degree and form as we progress, the battle, yes, is eternal but the duality transcends from higher level to higher level
VII
Human Value Dualities
-the duality of good and evil or right and wrong or true and false or beauty and ugliness is a value duality, it is always directional, they are “axial”, that is they proceed along an axis, we are always seeking more good, more right, more truth, more beauty. But other dualities are not directional, they are “pragmatic” -- the side of the opposite that is primary merely depends on concrete conditions and changes, these dualities include thousands of things like general/particular, theoretical/practical, emotional/logical. These are very basic categories we use to analyze and organize our lives. In the value duality the side of the opposite that is primary is always primary, it is directional, the value dualities guide, leading our lives, the pragmatic dualities are for managing, administrating our lives. Human beings are axial animals in the main, the pragmatic dualities give us our footing, the value dualities force us to stride forward.
(You can look at dualities in three forms: “high bias” which are value dualities; “mid bias” which are biased dualities that can have diversals to the nebias as in diff and undiff, and “no bias” dualities, these are the pragmatic dualities.)
VIII
The Human “Why” Animal
-the Human is the why animal, the animal in an insatiable quest for knowledge, this is an indisputable truth driving our evolution, it makes us very different
-at the same time, an old story tells us: “Humanity asks ‘why’, and the cosmos says ‘because’. Humanity asks ‘why’ again, and the cosmos answers ‘why not’. Humanity asks ‘why’, and the cosmos replies ‘why ask because there is no end to ‘why’s’. Humanity asks ‘why’ again, and the irritated cosmos retorts ‘why must you always ask ‘why’? Humanity pauses then answers “I don’t know why?” The cosmos relieved says “then you are, after all, a part of the cosmos!” This is the irony of the ‘why’ animal
IX
The Human Cultural Animal
-technology and science disconnect us with Nature, for what species does this other than us? At the same time, technology and science connect us with Nature too, for Nature is its focus of study. Sciences of Nature evolve and sciences of Ex-nature evolve.
-but culture disconnects us to pursue who we are, as separate beings and phenomenon, and to pursue who we want to be. In culture is our essence and our choice
-the Home we build is purely our own invention coming from our unique natures, original, like no other species
-the mental Diverse splits off from the real Diverse and a new cultural realm evolves of art, myths, feelings, morality, abstractions, ideas, knowledge, creativity, play and more. This cultural level is in nonstop evolution
X
Human, the Directional Animal
-a “Human” is a directional being, we set courses, aim for goals, follow values, seek more knowledge, attain greater truth, achieve more joy and so on. We hold the world against our axes of orientation and point in the direction of our spirit. We are axial beings, we cannot exist with our axes, we were born to go higher and farther. This psychology inhabits everyday of our lives, a Human that is content and inactive who does not strive or dream or hope will ultimately be unhappy, going against our genes, and wallowing in the primary misery of our race
-the axial within us is our ideals, our higher selves, our dreams. The axial is the divine within us. The divine is never actually achieved, it is a process, a force, an action, a verb. We have the divine inside and yet we strive forever for the divine. The divine is relative and the divine is absolute.
XI
Human Differentiation Meets Limits
-our evolution, creativity, individuality and etc. is not boundless
-what are these particular limits? We must think about this
XII
Human and the Absolutes
-the mind quickly produces the absolute, it leaps from the everyday changing, evolving world and finds the ideas of the eternal, and realizes that these have existed for all time, before us and after us, forever
-for example, morality existed before the Human race, moral principles are absolute, they never change, they always have existed, they were even present at the origin, it is conditions that change, that press us to apply them anew. So history evolves, morality does not
-absolutes go back to the beginning of time. These eternal principles seem to have been at the origin long before us or any thinking being, why? How did physical Nature know these truths before we even appeared? This we will ponder and never really understand
-consciousness quickly finds the absolute truths, for true consciousness is the grasping of the absolute itself, that is its very definition, its definitive act, which is its nature. In a flash, the mind compresses eternity and finds essential truth. The mind is an infinity device that leaps past an infinity of ages and details
-we have genuine consciousness when we comprehend the absolute truths of morality, art, philosophy, the spirit, mathematics and more. What we have before this understanding is a level of pre-consciousness. And once we have seen the absolute future, evolution is in the specifics for that concept
(Some philosophers have tried to live here in this absolute place, but a good thinker would say that the absolutes once realized must be brought down to the level of the evolving material world, so that we can guide evolution, so that the absolute can give random change a direction. In this way the changing world always has an absolute compass to the higher.)
XIII
Human Meets the Mystery
-with science we chase the mystery but we never catch it, it always recedes to more distant reaches; the ultimate truths and causes retreat
-the Diverse shines down and shows us its wondrous facts, then it rains mystery showers and washes them away
XIV
Human Culture Needs Science
-the cultural plane is in nonstop evolution. But this mental plane must stay connected with the real Diverse through science and technology. These give our culture a foundation, and these aid us in advancing our creativity and self creativity
-Science and technology ultimately serve the mental realm of culture and not vice versa as we have today in our outmoded “civilizations”. Culture limits and directs science.
Summary
Let us summarize the many features of Humans that separate them Nature:
-Humans have mind, Nature does not.
-Humans are consciously creative, Nature is not
-Human Genio is different from Natural Genio
-Humans have Good and Evil, Nature is ambiguous on this
-Humans also have Value Dualities, Nature has its Objective Dualities
-Humans seek to unravel the Mystery, Nature has no care about that
-Humans have culture, Nature has its Ecology
-Humans have science but it connects to nature, while culture disconnects us
-Humans seek the abstract Absolute, Nature IS the Absolute
-Humans ask “Why”, Nature knows why but doesn’t need to communicate it
-Humans are Directional, Nature has no direction and many directions
And More
Humans have culture and art while Nature has life and its own drama. Humans have science while Nature has pure and infinite technology.
There are other things we can say about Humanity -- about our spirituality, our concept of a soul, our abstraction and generalization, our intangible inner world, our understanding of a whole, our grasp of individuality and diversity and so on. The ancients recognized many of these things.
All these things above we can call “Ex-nature”, as opposed to “Nature”. They separate us from the natural world. And today Ex-nature continues to evolve, and in this age, it takes on a new technological aspect:
-Our machines and devices
-Our need for power and resources
-Our consequent rape and pollution of the planet is Ex-nature too
-Our computers and communication are a leap in our Ex-nature, we leap out of physical time and space to communicate. We process information and analyze beyond our old natures.
-Virtual reality and new modes of sensation and manipulation will allow us to be in a reality yet be remote, not be there, yet know and manage the world.
-Our quest for longer life and better health is Ex-nature too, breaking out the confinement of natural lives and seeking immortality through science.
Our Ex-nature evolves to a new stage, the old mode of our natures is surpassed. The relation of Nature and Ex-nature comes to a new stage.
At the same time we have Ex-nature behaviors that should help us connect with Nature. These include universal love, universal compassion, general philosophic knowledge and understanding, morality and other things. Hopefully these will win out over other Ex-nature activities.
So Ex-Nature is split, which side will win?
Nature in Human, Inner Nature
While Humans evolve out of Nature toward Ex-nature, Nature still remains in various aspects. We have natural needs and pleasures and sensations. These are part of our inner Diverse built by Nature over millions of years. All parts of our psychology serve a need, we have been given a treasure chest of tools and perceptions and skills, to selectively use them is silly. Only the iso-thinker and the victim of etheria would reject the inner Diverse. Your inner variety makes you stronger, wiser, more skillful, more successful and happy.
Our very physical bodies and brains are Nature, though we think great thoughts and have transcendent feelings, these come out of a natural material thing. So the ground of our Ex-nature is our Nature, for we do not live in an ethereal realm free of physical existence. And this will always be for there is no escape from this in the Diverse; this is a great duality in the Diverse. The Human race pushes the boundaries of this duality, it stretches this duality into new shapes and into new stages, but in the end the duality will remain though in surprisingly new forms.
At the same time, there are negatives, we are subject to the whims and weaknesses of our bodies; we have illness, handicaps and mortality. The mind itself is ultimately a neurological and physical system subject to many ways of breakdown and imperfection.
In the past, we tried to control “retrograde behaviors” with the use of philosophy, ethics and religion. But there is a certain level of our misbehaviors that are physical in cause and not so much conceptual or intellectual or learned. The abstract levels of misbehavior can be corrected or mitigated with ideas and knowledge, but certain physical problems cannot. Perhaps, with strong behavior modification, drugs or social control we can manage these problems, but still in the end we must admit that many of our problems have a physical basis.
They can be listed briefly:
-Poor judgment and impulse control, this is a matter of poor or slow development of the frontal lobes
-Empathy and bio-selfishness, not thinking of others, not feeling their suffering, in some people this is a physical attribute
-Aggression and chemistry, this is well known. Fear and chemistry, this too is well known, the fight or flight response to a stressor
-Iso thinking vs. Diverse thinking, here is an issue -- that some people do not have the capacity to think in multiple tracks
-General skills at management of a diverse mind, these do not come intuitively or instinctually, it takes years to learn these techniques, until then a Human is exposed to many dangers
-Childhood and dysfunction dangers. And the very process of growth leaves a young one open to many, many attacks on the embryonic psyche. Early puberty vs. maturation stages -- it takes time for the adult brain to mature, in the meantime there are many dangers of adolescence. Age and mental changes -- in late age we have changes that occur too
-Inherent problems of individuality and isolation, the very fact that our bodies are separate means that we are disconnected, and this can lead to many potential problems in learning, emotional development, social skills, empathy, ethics etc
-and so on.
These physical limitations whether from abnormality or illness or a basic condition propel us to fix the Human condition. These sufferings call out for the doctor of Ex-nature.
Human’s Affect on Greater Nature, Outer Nature
There are two Natures, one is within man, that we will call the Lesser Nature, which is our physical nature. And then there is the Greater Nature outside of man -- the environment, the eco-system and in a larger more distant sense, the cosmos.
While Nature clearly is affecting Human on the inside, how is then Humanity reciprocating and affecting Greater Nature?
We only need to list the issues for they are well known:
-Atmospheric emissions
-Oceanic pollution, temperature changes
-Climate change
-Disruption of ecosystems -- forests and vegetation, animals, fish, insects…
-Loss of natural land
-Loss of animals, fish, insects, plants
-Water usage and pollution
-Land pollution, pesticides, herbicides…
-Lack of compassion for wild animals
-Lack of compassion for pets
-and etc., the list is enormous
So while we work on the limitation created by Nature within us, we are working on Nature outside of us, but in this case there is no intent of improvement of Nature there is a complete ignorance and neglect of Nature. Inner Nature we try to overcome, but outer Nature we destroy. In each case there is a hostility driven by iso-think, etheria and more.
Greater Nature’s Affect on Human
At the same time, Nature has reacted back upon us.
The effect of Greater Nature on Humanity is of two types. First, in our original condition before our technological age. Second, in our present epoch of damage.
The Original Condition
Nature was dangerous to Humanity but at the same time it provided for us. We lived in a long epoch of “balance” with Nature.
The Present Condition
Nature’s dangers have diminished and it still provides, but its ration is petering out as we plunder its limited wealth. Further, we destroy the oceans, land and atmosphere, the very things that we fundamentally need to exist. We poison our own home and thus endanger our own survival. Either we accept the attack on Nature or we bury ourselves in our own cultural pursuits and deny what is going on. Here is the bad side of Human cultural evolution. On the one hand, culture is what defines our race, it is our essential evolutionary driver, at the same time, it can disconnect us from the external world. Greater Nature is striking back and yet we do not see what is going on, because neglect and exploitation fill our minds.
The stage of balance is long gone. First we existed in the stage of the domination of Nature, we were mostly animals, then we achieved an early stage of technology and we lived in balance as equals with Nature. Now we have gone past balance, we are now the superiors, the masters and we make Nature do as we will.
But then can we ever become the masters of Nature? Or are we really superior in some minor and partial ways, and will the greater superiority of Nature be demonstrated soon in a major and total way. Is a new stage of balance being called forth? Is a new “Natural Contract” coming with a severe curtailment of our privileges and a burdening increase of our obligations?
Greater and Lesser Human
Greater Nature is outside Human, and Lesser Nature is within Human.
The Lesser Human is one that does not respect the Greater Nature outside itself, the Greater Human does respect and cherish and protect the Greater Nature.
The destruction of Nature can come from our Ex-Natures or from our physical limitations and defects. It can be our very culture and beliefs, it can be physical handicaps that we have in perception. Our threat to Nature may come from our Ex-nature values or from our physical natures that become highly destructive under the influence of our Ex-nature values!
The Human must be included in the ecology of things, it has pushed its way into the scene and it cannot be removed now. Thus, the evolution of Nature now must include Human, this duality we can call “Co-Genio”, the parallel and interconnected evolutions of Nature and Human. Co-Genio is the complete, total picture of existence and its march forward….or backwards.
The historical balance must be constructed at a new level with an accompanying new consciousness of the balance of Human and Nature, that is, the balance of Human with the Outer Nature and the balance of the Human with its Inner Nature.
Suffering and Home
There are Diverse paths of evolution in the Diverse, old civilization did not understand this; old societies did not understand that all the paths of evolution make up a whole, that Humanity was only one path of evolution. Humanity is one path that is directional, unique.
Old cultures did not understand that all the paths are interconnected and cannot be sundered, split, for it is a matter of physical survival, we are dependent on mother cosmos.
Old civilizations disregarded matters of moral survival. Humans had no awareness of animals. They did not realize that animals live in agony; that is their fate in Nature. Human beings add to their agony with their thoughtless behavior; they think because they have gardens of pretty flowers and that they do not eat their pets that they are friends of Nature. They build walls between their world and the natural world; they never peer over the wall to see the massacre of Nature they have authored. Humans have no right to choose what animals live or die, only Nature can decide that. We have no right to interfere, only if it relates to a legitimate survival issue.
A good soul is an “Anpath”, a sympathizer with animals, and more an empathizer with animals. She or he loves and cares for animals. We declare that they have “rights”. Before the rise of Human beings the idea of rights for animals was nonsensical, but when one species has the power to end all life, then the whole of Nature, all ecologies, and all species become “political” and are endowed with inalienable rights and constitutions. Nature is now taking a play from our playbook, Nature is using Ex-Nature to defend itself against Ex-Nature beings.
And more, we treat animals badly, because we treat ourselves badly, we treat each other as “animals”. Some day we will understand that Humans and animals are the same, there is no difference, animals are Human, Humans are animal; we are all the same, wanting to survive.
But there is a great difference between Human and animal, Humans are living in a growing realm of Ex-nature, and a very important feature of this existence is to reduce suffering. Ex-suffering is unique to Humans, only we create a world of less suffering, only we can do this, only we are fundamentally driven by this need. But animals, they live in Nature and suffering is their fate. Nature is suffering; Ex-nature is ex-suffering. And it is so disturbing to see Humans build up their world of ex-suffering without a care for Nature, in fact, greatly increasing the suffering of Nature. Does this have to be, that the Ex-sufferer has no compassion for the Sufferer, that Ex-Nature has no compassion for Nature?
To “Co-Genio” is the only path of physical and moral survival for the Human race, to respect the parallel creativities of the various lines of evolution in the cosmos. Human is different from Nature, we have culture, art, morality, science, myths and dreams; we are driven by different needs and impulses., creativity, immortality, spirituality, the evolutionary good. But Nature and Ex-nature can be in relative harmony in Co-Genio where the Human respects and protects Nature. The alterative is, of course, extinction.
The relationship between Human and Nature is not without conflict for we are two very different forces and powers. We can make two errors philosophically here. We can ignore Nature in a kind of evolutionary ego and meet our destruction. The other error is to go too far in the stress on Nature and give up our Ex-nature needs. Humans cannot be “one” with Nature because we are moving out of Nature, Ex-nature is our fate. Minimizing damage is both a survival necessity and a moral imperative (and that comes from our Ex-Natures, for Nature is extra-moral).
We must be honest about who we are. The balance created by Co-Genio is a relative harmony and concord. What is sustainable is in evolution, because our Ex-Nature’s are in constant evolution; conflicts are going to occur as we evolve from stage to stage, and new moralities are going to replace old moralities. The issue is not sustainable development but the development of the sustainable -- or “sustainable evolution”. Can we sustain our evolution?
Reducing the Human foot print on Nature is eternal because in one way or another we will be exploiting Nature to survive, as a race we will always have big feet. We are like a great tree rooted in the soil of Nature, we are so tall that we spend most of our time far above Nature and have no connection to it. But if we do not maintain our connection to it then the tree will topple, and we will be no more.
Co-Genio reflects our true reality; we are seeking a relative harmony with Nature; our balance with Nature is dynamic because we are under a non-stop evolution out of Nature. We sustain our relationship with Nature because Nature is our sustenance, our fundamental nourishment comes from the world. At the same time, we want to distance ourselves from Nature as far as we can, as we pursue the “unnatural” things such as culture, art, scientific investigation, spirituality, morality, self growth, longevity and immortality
Further, if we become “one” with Nature then we are saying in backhanded way that we are the “brains” of Nature. Nature has no consciousness but Humans do have consciousness, therefore we are the brain of this fused entity some might say. We would carry out Nature’s bidding we would say, we would be managing the whole planet. And this would be another of the many futile attempts of our species to reach “godhood”. And certainly a priestly few who would be in profound touch with Nature’s true wishes and needs would lord it over the rest of us.
Nature is not our “Home”, Home is what Humans build; it is our culture. We do not create Nature or build it. Nature is far greater than Home, Nature is given to us, it is our condition, our environment, far superior, for it has powers far greater than ours. Nature does not need us but we need it. We live in zone of connection with Nature, that is our Home. In terms of the whole of Nature, it is miniscule. Thus, we have the “Cosmic Home” which is everything around us, and then we have our actual Human Home which is infinitely smaller.
At the same time we now dominate our home and can easily destroy it.
Nature has great power but it is not responsible for its behavior, Humanity has some power and must be responsible for its behavior. When we have the bad combination of an irresponsible Nature and an irresponsible Humanity, then catastrophe results for our species.
Nature and Humanity, it could be said are two children of the Cosmos. The younger child is frenetic, curious and impatient, the older child is calm and slow and wise. The younger child though abusive needs the older sibling, Nature. But the older sibling does NOT need the younger one, it could care less.
Thus, our bond with our elder must be created by ourselves. No one else can do it for us, Nature or the Cosmos. So we must make efforts to change our behaviors.
Our quietia prevents us from rebinding with Nature, our culture distracts us from our environment, our momentia sends us into extreme behaviors, our etheria keeps us bottled up in a world of abstract thinking, our indirectness keeps us removed from Nature, our lack of identity keeps us from appreciating other identities, our unhealthy individualisms keep us focused on ourselves, our lack of creativity prevents us from solving problems of Co-Genio with Nature. When Human beings do not solve their spiritual and psychological problems, Nature suffers.
Communication and Force
Amongst Human beings without communication there is the result of force; communication is the supreme relation amongst Humans.
But between Humanity and Nature, there can be no communication because Nature does not communicate or speak as a being.
The super-language of Nature is merely phenomena. Humans learn the super-language of Nature by studying all things. Science is the translator.
Nature only responds with force, for force is how Nature operates between inanimate things and between animate things.
Humanity cannot be a force against Nature; that is the problem in the first place.
Therefore Humanity must be a force FOR Nature, a force FOR “Co-Genio”, the conscious force for Co-Genio.
We listen and learn from Nature, we then act in accordance with our knowledge; this is the nature of communication with Nature. Birds, animals, oceans, ecosystems, climates and whole planets do not communicate with Humans in the way that we communicate with each other. Nor do we communicate with them in the way we communicate with each other; this technique of messaging is completely different. This is the way it is in the Voceum of “God”, thus we must learn the “Superlanguage of Nature”.
The cosmos is multi-centered, it includes us and other phenomena; Co-genio is the only path in a multi-centered existence.
This we must ENFORCE amongst ourselves. Communication is superior to force. But in this case of our environmental survival, communication becomes force. We communicate amongst ourselves so that we can agree that harmony with Nature must be enforced amongst our species.
Ex-Nature is a Child of Nature
There is an argument that the Human is not more advanced than Nature, that the simultaneous evolution of Nature and Human puts Nature far ahead. It is far wiser and more superior and more powerful in its unconscious way. We will at times inflate our egos and then we will find that we are not so great after all, that our very “superior” foundation rests on Nature itself, within us and in the outer realm. We shall even rediscover from time to time that in the origin of all things were the possibilities for our higher brains, our souls, art, mathematics, creativity and more. Within the Subsume is the very source of all things, in the very beginning of “Nature” was us and our ideals and transcendent emotions. Ex-nature was born of Nature. No matter how far we wander and “evolve”, we are still children of Nature. It is our starting point, our Ground, our sustenance, our physical manifestation.
Is Survival Enough?
There is one more thought here. One trait we share with all living things is the drive to Survive. And it would seem that in a situation where we have eroded an Ecosystem to the point that our very existence is questionable, that here one would expect that the survival instinct would come to the fore, that it would trump all other distractions and negative behaviors. But so far it has not.
And it is not likely that simple survivalism is enough. There are far too many distractions to a Human Being. And one of those primary distractions is Survival in the Human sphere, in Human systems.
When a system is created that puts ordinary people into a survival mode, this kind of survivalism transcends the more fundamental sort in relation to Nature.
The types of “Survival” compete with each other. One has a greater hold upon us, but the other determines our very existence. One Survivalism
The term D is differentiation.
Differentiation is the idea of producing difference, this takes various forms: distinction, individuality, diversity, change, evolution, chaos, duality, details, creativity and so on. Synthesis is also a result of the differentiation because it brings together different things into a combined whole which also is a new and different thing.
Differentiation happens over space and time. Differentiation in space simply means more entities existing simultaneously. Differentiation over time means change and evolution, that is, different phases of something over time including its extinction or merger into something else.
Creativity is an essential form of differentiation because it produces unique things.
Duality arises from differentiation as a single entity splits into opposites.
These are the general philosophic or scientific or cosmological themes.
Differentiation is the prime theme of the cosmos for it produces all variety and it also erodes or modifies systems and complexities. Things that try to stay stable and unchanging cannot because the force of differentiation will undermine all plans to be eternal. Differentiation is the source, force and course of our reality.
We should observe that Nature's differentiation is different than Human differentiation. Nature has no consciousness, plan or goal. Human beings however are the opposite of Nature in this respect – we are conscious and self conscious, we plan, we strategize, we set targets, we strive. Even our less controlled and planned behaviors such as creativity or intuition or dreaming or emotions can be guided.
Further Nature is extra-moral; it does not design its work according to principles of ethics, love, empathy, peace, cooperation, equality. Human beings on the other hand do require morality and function quite poorly without it. And this morality is applied not only to other Human beings but to animals, Nature and all things. Morality is an important Ex-nature behavior of our species separating us from the cosmos.
But the behaviors we see in Nature give us hints of the laws of our world, the proper behaviors of our world. Evolution, individuation, disorder and duality in the physical and biological realms are rules that we can apply to the Human sphere. We merely take these axioms and make them Human, use them in our framework of morality and spirituality. Without these laws and science our ethical paradigms are disarmed, they are good intentions without technique and tools.
Forms of differentiation
So let us take a look at the vast range of forms of differentiation:
In terms of science we have biodiversity produced from a small handful of original life forms.
After the big bang we have a myriad of forms of matter and energy and field. The cosmos is filled with an infinite variety of stars, nebulae, planets, black holes, quasars and more. Time itself differentiates into its various aspects such as moments versus continuity.
The sciences themselves have elaborated into many fields, they have differentiated into distinct realms: physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics etc. And these sciences continue to differentiate and intersect creating new applications.
In specific, human themes of differentiation include a great list of developments:
· personal individuality, the differentiation of self from others
· unique self identity, the differentiation of identity
· social diversity, the differentiation caused by social groups
· human creativity; the differentiation of goal, work and method
· multiple perception, the differentiation of point of view
· multiple strategies, the ability to entertain competing strategies at once
· the many sub-minds of the brain, the differentiation of logic, creativity, judgment, wisdom, emotion, subconscious, memory, senses, action
· a vast range of emotions, evolving from a small original and primitive set
· range thinking, the skill of using a range of methods for analysis
· constant self growth and striving, the differentiation of self over time, the evolution to new stages, to higher stages
· directness, the idea that an individual can only know and influence life and society through direct participation, knowledge, action, obligation
· the empiric, the individual who lives life through direct experience, summing up lessons of life from immersion in it
· love of the different, the fondness for differentiation
· personal ethics, finding the individual code that directs the whole of your life
· practical ethics, the personal struggle to do the right thing in the right way at the right time; and the skill of merging ideal and real, long term and short term, vision and the practical into one process
· personal spirituality, the evolution of an inner life, growing attention to themes such as identity, social connection, nature, empathy, life purpose, soul, ethics and more
· plastic thinking, the recognition that one thing becomes another, ideas become matter and vice versa, that all is subject to creativity and reshaping.
· a broad education curriculum to create a complete Human being, the institutional goal of building a differentiated person, an individual, a complex whole
· learning the techniques of being an individual, the many rules and methods we must learn to function as individuals
· transcending to higher emotional states, a vertical differentiation where we seek the better, stage after stage
· the freedom of individuality and complexity offers us many possible choices, many paths
· the freedom of time, time offers us an endless series of moments, we find each entity operating in its own speed and stage of evolution, we choose in the war between past and future which mix we want at each stage of evolution
· indirect leadership is the style of leadership which sees in a world of free thinking individuals that influence cannot be based upon substitution of leader's experience for that of the novice
· differentiation creates joy from diversity, from the richness, change and complexity of the world
· the pursuit of many values; an individual generates many ideals, desires and needs, a world of mono-values such as money and material things does not satisfy
· and many more examples of Human differentiation
The great themes of personal Human existence become individuality, creativity, diversity and growth.
Self transformation is a major message of differentiation. Self transformation is a sphere of creativity applied to the individual, applied in a conscious manner. [Creativity consists of various realms: one is self transformation, the other is personal creative technique, a third is social transformation and social creativity.]
In social terms, differentiation leads to multiple measures of economic performance rather than a focus on profit and money; new views on the interconnection of business with the rest of society (consumers, community, investors, employees, government); new views on broad democratic ownership of firms. Social differentiation leads to new views of organization that stress freedom, diverse perceptions, creativity, flexibility and multiple values. Democracy is redefined by social differentiation as something requiring mass participation; referendum and recall become heightened themes.
And social differentiation sees a very different curriculum in schools for it attempts to create a whole Human being and not a partial one. Further, social differentiation pushes strongly for social diversity, equality and the multicultural. And it stands for new views on international relations and a planetary 'system' and more.
Social genio or social creativity becomes the fundamental body of technique that strives to change or replace social institutions and practices.
Social differentiation stresses individual freedom and power, social creativity and social diversity.
Personal and social differentiation are great powers, they drive us forward. Differentiation is the most primordial and fundamental of forces. It expresses itself as in so many ways: the striving for individuality, freedom and control; the battle for democracy; the internet itself; the power of market economies, the rebellion of oppressed social groups and the evolution of cultures; the need to be creative is a special form of differentiation; the personal desire to evolve, grow and get to higher levels; the search for a diversity of values in a world dominated by money and materialism; and much, much more. Though flawed, Bitcoin is too an expression of differentiation in the sphere of economics and individuality.
But one thing is missing as we shall see: Undifferentiation. It is the secret ingredient that brings the dreams of differentiation to fruition.
The term U stands for undifferentiation
Undifferentiation is the opposite of differentiation, it speaks to opposite features in regards to differentiation: unity over difference, wholes over parts, uniformity over distinction, stability over change, structure over motion, repetition over evolution, regulation over independence, universality over diversity, generality over detail, reproduction over uniqueness, models over uniqueness, organization over individuality, connection over disconnection, communication over de-communication and so on. These are the general themes or forces of undifferentiation.
Undifferentiation is necessary to create organization and unity. While differentiation is the primary force of things, undifferentiation takes differentiation to a new stage, that of stability, duration, dependability.
Forms of undifferentiation
Specific examples of undifferentiation in physics would be:
· The Higgs Boson particle that gives mass and stability to other particles, thus giving organization and long term existence.
· Gravity as a general binder of matter, the weakest of the four fundamental forces
· The strong nuclear force that binds a proton and neutron together, it is also the force that holds particles together into protons, neutrons and hadrons. The agent of this force is the gluon.
· The electromagnetic force binds electrons to a nucleus through the process of negative-positive attraction.
· Chemical bonds derive from the electromagnetic force
At a higher level we have the appearance of long term complex systems that are self organizing: such as suns, planetary systems, dissipative structures, thermodynamic processes, crystallization, hurricanes, weather patterns.
At a still higher level, we see the appearance of living things. Here we find regulation of cellular and bodily processes, separation of the life form from the environment, reaction of the organism upon the environment, the struggle to survive, complex brains and nervous systems, reproduction of the entity, nurturing, training, social organization and more.
Then with so many life forms coexisting and competing we see ecosystems form, these are more advanced long term complex systems that are self organizing.
When we reach the Human level we are confronted with problems such as:
· managing very complex brains replete with many sub-minds
· the handling of a vast array of emotions
· putting together a singular and stable personal identity from many elements and experiences
· developing paradigms that can fit our knowledge into a single coherent system with a few overarching principles
· linking the individual to society
· constructing a democracy that addresses issues of commonality and unity
· building vast education systems that teach through models and repetition
· discovering the few principles that hold together a multicultural society and define a national identity and heritage
· stressing fundamental moral and spiritual principles that bind us together
· linking an economy into a larger structure that includes all of society, all values, all institutions, all people
· developing the central institutions of an economy
· developing central institutions of a government
· finding the common institutions of a planet that most can agree to in a multi-centered and loosely organized orb
· managing a complex life, developing structure and some rules
· while striving to the next higher stage, we must remember to rest, sum up and savor the gains otherwise you will have no stability or ground
· while creativity is at war with reason and logic, at the same time, logic must be called in to make sense of creative inventory and systematize it
· while directness leads to direct knowledge, one must utilize indirect knowledge for the most part in formal teaching settings.
· indirect leadership is the most important form of leadership, but direct leadership is absolutely necessary too – think surgeons, pilots, teachers, chief executives, generals etc.
· organization cannot exist through the pure freedom of differentiation, we need structure even in a loose configuration, otherwise all dissipates. We need some degree of authority, centralization, personnel, experts
· while we want people to become healthy individuals, we can teach them too how this is done. While in the end the solitary person figures this all out; a teacher, mentor or counselor can provide important insight along the way
· differentiation drives our quest for knowledge, at the same time, we must at points assimilate our old and new knowledge into a reform of the old system or into a radical new system
· Etc.
Other social issues of undifferentiation would include:
· providing for the basic needs of all citizens (jobs, healthcare, education…)
· providing for the general welfare and common good
· family becomes a very powerful structure of undifferentiation, it provides love and caring leading to healthy psyches.
A list of types of Subsumes
Subsumes come in many forms: physical and biological, mental and tactile, social and personal, major and minor, long term and short term, past and concurrent and future.
Let us look at examples of them:
• PHYSICAL – cosmological singularity that produced the big bang from which came space, time, energy, field and matter
• BIOLOGY – early conditions that spawned living things; and early life forms from which modern life evolved
• NEUROLOGY – the fusion of sub-minds not as yet elaborated in the behavior of children, the confusion of logic, fantasy, creativity, emotion, subconscious etc. Also lack of judgment which cannot arise until the prefrontal region matures.
• A MENTAL STATE OF FUSION, lack of distinction and even confusion in which there are no boundaries between things as in other states. Differentiation creates these boundaries and distinctions. Distinction is a mode after a Subsume breaks up, 'indistinction' is the mode before it passes
• FEELINGS OF UNITY, love, community, empathy, mutual identity and oneness achieved through various methods; these express another type of mental Subsume
• Social states such as early TRIBAL SOCIETY where there are no classes, a fusion of individual and group, a mix of values, a vague boundary between Human and Nature, and between spiritual and material realms
• Social activities such as certain types of RITUALS that create a strong sense of unity and caring
• SOCIAL ORGANIZATION AND ACTION that emphasizes group effort, unity, mutual interests and joint success
• REVOLUTIONS are often Subsumes because they are usually not conscious and begin long social processes from which new institutions and practices evolve. The problem here is that one must become conscious as quickly as you can, or else a revolution is bound to go off in a wrong direction
• WORDS are often Subsumes that we explore – democracy, freedom, equality, happiness, Human, justice, fraternity, the good, the true..…even 'god'. These ideals hold infinite content but for each age this content differs, these words differentiate from the Subsume of the pure and vague aiming for a more specific definition for a specific age
• CREATIVITY offers its own version of a Subsume, where all things are tangled and confused; in this state, new ideas, new connections are made, a whole is sought. This is a special mental Subsume, a special creative technique in genio's toolbox
• NEW SUBSUMES appear about us all the time caused by technology, economics and globalization
• The SUBCONSCIOUS MIND is a sort of Subsume where all seems confused and must be painstakingly unraveled
• The ACTION MIND which focuses not on analysis but doing has a form of Subsume consciousness, it simply acts with no thoughts or plans, it works from memory but can adapt quickly
• An AXXIAD is specific kind of thought system that has Subsume qualities because it merges philosophy, psychology, spirit, science into one framework
• MYTHOLOGY is often a Subsume that merges philosophy, religion, psychology, ethics, strategy into one thing: a path of living a life
• TANGI-NOT is the notion that the human world is both tangible and not tangible leading to interesting views on what is reality and what is not, and whether reality is even relevant at times.
• PLASTICITY of the world shows that one thing can become another, all is malleable. This is related to the tangible-and-not view.
• MEMORY can be seen as a Subsume fusion, memories are part objective and part subjective, they are plastic. They change and evolve, live and die, they can be managed.
• GENDER SUBSUME – while there are clear role models, at the same time one must enter a gender Subsume to figure out what is the right synthesis for yourself
• COMMUNICATION SUBSUME – the internet seems to be creating a Subsume of ideas and messages that appear to be a sort of living organism
• ART AND LIFE – artists often merge their creations with life, with cultural environments, with nature, they are saying art cannot be separated from these; in this way their art gains power and impact
• UNCONSCIOUS SOCIAL HISTORICAL PROCESSES – the evolution of the internet and electronic communication in general seems to be a good example of this blind evolution
• ECONOMICS – capitalism creates new things out of its Subsumes, new evolutions begin unplanned, uncontrolled; there is however a very conscious goal of maximum profit achieved through a very unconscious process
• EARLY RELIGION – gods, nature, souls, community and ethics are woven into one theology. This is quite different from modern religion which often separates itself from the 'temporal plane', from ordinary life
• VALUE SUBSUME – modern society stresses the value of money, but at one time many values were sought and balanced. When we oppose the domination of materialism and wealth, we are returning to a value subsume where many ideals and goals are held equally
• WORK SUBSUME – work and life activities all together, not simply the domination of career and job; life consists of many pursuits
• THE HUMAN RACE – a great Subsume of races, nationalities, cultures, religions, individuals, values, paradigms, schools of thought, subcultures……….a species that is capable of producing new Subsumes both mental and physical, the Human race is an ongoing Subsume
• PLANET EARTH – at some point we must return to a Subsume of relationships toward Mother Nature. When Nature is in all of our thoughts, and when we do things not knowing whether the act is for ourselves or for Nature, then we are in a Subsume. When the boundary of ourselves and the environment are no longer clear, when we become confused then we have reached a higher stage, and then we and the planet are one
• SUBSUME OF SOULS – we have individual souls and we participate in a collective soul, a community of souls. We are born from this special Subsume and we return to this Subsume.
• MEDITATION can produce a mental Subsume. Other techniques and conditions can also produce Subsume states
• A MULTICULTURAL ENVIRONMENT may produce a kind of Subsume thinking
• YOUR IDENTITY – who are you? You are mix of a vast array of elements. At times you are clear on your particular nature, at other times you slip into a great identity Subsume, get confused and resume a search for your 'essence'. Clarity and confusion drive the great cycles of your identity quest
• ME AND YOU -- the self is a Subsume that produces not only individuality but also sociality and concern for all people. On a daily basis you will be juggling many concerns both personal and other, and you will not be aware of your choices, you will simply act and react, you will be yourself and society at the same time, you will find no contradiction in this
• CRISIS RESPONSE is a state of action in the most intense mode. In this state one is acting without analysis, reacting to unplanned events. The mind is purely a Subsume – alert, responding, intuitive, adaptive
• MANAGING SUB-MINDS, in the prefrontal region is the agent that manages your sub-minds such as reason, creativity, memories, emotion, subconscious, sensation, judgment. This manager attempts to get your whole neurology working together as a one, toward a general goal. Often the manager must improvise, and shares much in common with your action mind. Improvisation itself is a special Subsume skill
ETC.
HIERARCHY OF SUBSUMES
We may postulate a hierarchy of Subsumes:
· First is that which is known as the 'singularity' which precedes and fuses matter, energy, field, particles, space and time as one thing.
· Second, the physical Subsume of matter, energy, field, particles in the world with which we are familiar
· Third, the Subsume of life, of biology, of ecosystems
· Fourth, the higher Subsumes of Human beings; these are personal, social, abstract
FORMS OF LIBERATION --- A SUMMARY
These are called Forms of Liberation because each Form offers us knowledge, understanding, control and freedom.
FORMS. This philosophy is divided into six ‘forms’. These are principles, axioms, laws, forces, dynamics etc. See entries on Subsume, differentiation, undifferentiation, wholes, Genio and time/evolution. These forms apply to the objective and subjective realms, these rules of course, originate in the objective realm.
The forms are in a sense the Universe’s greatest hits.
We can say there are at least 6 forms or axioms or dynamics in this philosophy:
• Subsumes
• Differentiation
• Undifferentiation
• Wholes
• Genio or Creativity
• Evolution and Time
It should be understood that is not a fixed or dogmatic list, you can add to this series if you like, such as chaos, duality or issues related to social themes or psychology or nature or spirit or liberation or love or more. More about this below.
The author may call this a Subsume Philosophy or a Philosophy of Differentiation but he does not mean that a Subsume or Differentiation is only thing to consider, only that they are a starting point to understand a set of themes. So, you can say this is a multiple-perception philosophy which mirrors the multiple forces of life, a subjective complex viewing an objective complex. An MPOV, multiple point of view system, in both senses about human point of view and the universe's point of view.
In some sense the MPOV idea is illogical. But in another sense, this is the logic of our cosmos: chaotic, eclectic, rich, compound, difficult, a simultaneous plurality, all in unending motion. Logic in the traditional sense has its uses but its jurisdiction applies to the singular and simple. The logic of the Forms is much more challenging.
Here is a brief explanation of each Form:
• Subsumes refer to states where a phenomenon seems fused, without parts or distinction. A subsume is either a state that precedes an elaboration into distinct elements or is a state that appears after an evolutionary process where things collapse back into a sort of confused whole. The Original subsume is a singularity and what precedes it we do not know as of yet. There are many, many examples of subsumes.
• Differentiation is about appearance of difference, individuality, individuation, diversity. This could refer to cultures, ethnic groups, individuals, self-identity, the evolution of sub-minds in the brain, the generation of a full list of Human needs, the development of a range of emotions, the training of an activist citizen, the formation of all of the parts of a healthy economic system etc. Differentiation also applies to beginning of life, species differentiation, creating elements of ecosystems and so on. Differentiation is the primary force of the cosmos and among humans.
• Undifferentiation is the opposite of differentiation, this includes organization, communication, models, repetition, centralizing institutions, rules, laws, morals, certain emotions, types of love. Undifferentiation also applies to the structure of ecosystems, physiology, to some extent neurology and so on.
• Wholes arise when we put differentiation and undifferentiation together. The goal is to form something that is generally flexible, free and democratic. Wholes come in a range, some more free than others depending on specific situation. They run from collections to wholes to systems. We observe different degrees of chaos and disconnection in wholes. What precedes a whole is simply disparate things, pure election. What lies beyond a whole or system is something that collapses all variety into a oneness, this quickly disintegrates as this is not a form of whole but the selection of one thing and the exclusion of all other things, thus not a whole. This shows that the totalitarian is in fact a "naught-tarian".
Further, obviously, there are wholes that are spontaneously created in nature, in the cosmos. Then there are wholes created by human beings which are flawed and are subject to a long learning process. And the wholes of self management, self knowledge are the hardest of all to create and master.
Also, whole is the theme of this age, we are seeking the unified human being, the whole of humanity, the whole of global economics, politics and culture. And the whole of nature and human together. And please note that differentiation is the main force in relation to undifferentiation. [see "3 Subsume Equations"]
• Genio or creativity develops the techniques by which we handle subsumes, differentiation, undifferentiation and wholes. Genio is both personal and social. While nature's creativity is similar to Human creativity, it is slower and without moral guidance but on other hand, nature's genio is prolific, full of experiment and failure, with unceasing mindboggling advance.
Self genio refers to self knowledge self realization, transformation and growth. Social genio is about principles of creativity applied to social change: political, cultural and economic.
• Time and evolution issues include the nature of duration, the distinction between a moment and continuity, the contest of past and future, the individuality of timelines and their conflict, irreversibility of time, spatial and temporal evolution, simultry, time as intrinsic to an entity and not universal, point vs. flow, stages of evolution, the value dialectic, the evolutionary good and much more.
Please see the various books and booklets on these Forms. The dictionaries will have the discussions more succinct and collected together.
PARAFORMS
In addition, we may expand the Forms list beyond to 6. This system is open ended and subject point of view.
We may add other general axioms about chaos/disorder or duality if you think they are important to break out. Also, there may be reasons to separate the evolution form into evolution and features of time itself.
Also, there is the notion of stasis, the unchanging or even eternal. Though we see the universe as quite dynamic there is a stable aspect to it. This is related to the concept of 'space", just what is it? Space and time are pre-conditions.
Ground and structure of a phenomena are very important too. Below the level of the forces are questions about foundation. For example, the ground of a Human Being, a healthy Human being, what is it?
Further, environment is a major issue too. Best example is our Home, Planet Earth. The environment of the phenomenon you are examining.
Paraform may also refer to the value dialectic as a special human form of evolution.
Liquidity or superliquidty might become a concern when analyzing subsumes or extreme differentiation.
An examination of a cosmological subsume may lead to notions about something that precedes a singularity itself.
Also, we may also ask ourselves, is there a true 'nothing' that exists without matter, structure, space or time at all. And if such a thing exists then what is its connection with 'something'? Are they stages of development as in nothing to something, or coexistent as one thing that has nothing aspects and something aspects?
And so on if you like. Also, there are specific applications that may be very important to you about Nature, psychology, social themes, spirit, culture, personal identity, love, the notion of Home, strategy and methods and more……
OTHER KEY NOTIONS
Here some other key notions about the forms thesis we must list:
· Plasticity of the world and our thinking
· MPOV, we have already mentioned
· Tangi-not, the fusion of the tangible and the intangible in nature and in our minds
· Complexity, the mind-boggling complexity of the cosmos, nature and even our own brains and behaviors
· Illogic meaning that conventional reason strives for over-simplicity in understanding, the wiser method is to start with a handful of principles and to expand from there as needed. Singular ideas are acceptable as starting points as long as they open up to complexity.
· Range thinking, the ability to see differentiation and undifferentiation on a range of mixes that are healthy and practical depending on situation and POV.
· Axxiad, is simply another word for the entire philosophy.
· Ahgen is another word for a creative person, as in ah-genio
· Empiric is the person who learns by science and experience.
· Directness is the necessary mode of staying in direct touch with reality. Or with other human beings.
· Unified human being refers to our task of managing our complex natures.
· Human dialectic speaks to our many, many contradictions.
· Social individuality is about the healthy individual who is also social, caring, activist.
A SIMPLE SOCIAL PROGRAMME
Creativity is bound up with difference, diversity, democracy and directness, and this leads naturally to a general kind of social programme:
Social diversity, the multi-cultural and equality
Direct democracy by the people
A healthy mental Diverse of emotions and sub-minds created by education, psychology, media and personal philosophy or spirituality
An economy of diverse goals, multiple values and multiple measures
The creation and defense of a culture with multiple values and multiple institutions of power
Acceptance of a Diverse planet of many cultures, religions and races; the creation of cooperation, peace and mutual institutions by consent
The repair of the environment, the harmony of Human and Nature, and the love of animals
The creation of a media system that is fully open and democratic, that promotes dialogue, learning and synthesis of ideas.
The creation of Diverse Wholes in society to bring together the diversity and complexity into a unity that is flexible and free.
The creation of a Human being as a Diverse Whole of emotions, mindsets, perspectives, skills and needs.

Ten Commandments for Nations
Moses gave us the Ten Commandments to guide our personal lives 3000 years ago. Now it is perhaps a good time to develop a Ten Commandments to guide the behavior of Nations. Given the state of the World and the damage and chaos created by George W. Bush, the Waster, we should consider an application of the universal truths of Moses to international behavior:
1) Thou Shalt Not Kill Nations
Nations must not be invaded, subjugated, dismembered or subjected to genocide. Only if there is a true and demonstrated need for self defense should one nation go to war with another.
2) Thou Shalt Not Steal From Nations
From trade “agreements” to reserve currency privileges to expensive loans, one nation must not lord its superior economic power over another.
3) Thou Shalt Not Bear False Witness Against Nations
Charges of weapons of mass destruction, terrorism and conspiracies must be substantiated. It is too easy for a superpower to demonize a nation with its massive media technology, and to repeat over and over again its lies. The “news” of false witness must stop; it is time to tell the truth.
4) Thou Shalt Not Take Advantage of Weaker Nations
The strong should be helping the under-developed nations rather than gaining by their vulnerabilities.
5) Thou Shalt Not Ignore the Suffering Of Nations
Malnutrition, disease, illiteracy and ignorance are rampant on our planet. The wealthy nations must do their part to eliminate these maladies. We have the power to make these problems extinct, only our self absorption holds us back.
6) Thou Shalt Not Dishonor the Father and Mother of Nations
The father and mother of all nations IS the father and mother of the whole Human race. We are one species, one great family. Honor your common ancestors and respect all your cousins.
7) Thou Shalt Not Interfere In the Affairs of Other Nations
Nations must not manipulate sides in another nation’s internal conflict. A developed nation must not interfere in the cultural development of another nation by exporting its values and its “democracy”. Each nation evolves in its own way at its own pace. Advice is acceptable but meddling is absolutely not acceptable.
8) Thou Shalt Not Put Patriotism Above Morality
Patriotism never trumped Moses’ Ten Commandments. Personal ethics and values have always superseded nationalism. But when morality and national action are one and the same, then we have “righteous” behavior that can change everything.
9) Thou Shalt Not Disrespect the Gods of Other Nations
There are many religions, philosophies and gods on this planet, we must respect then all.
10) Thou Shalt Not Act as a Superpower in a Community of Nations
We want neither the extremes of world chaos nor Imperialism Version 2.0. Nations like people need a community of free association and independent sovereignty. Without systems controlled by a superpower, nations can build mutual institutions supported by all
5 Themes of a Diverse Economy

Changing our Attitudes
toward Nature:
We must learn to break from of these commands, to let them go; in this way we can see something highly important that exists outside the box.
PRINCIPLES OF A CREATIVE ACTIVIST
Diversity and difference – the creative activist sees the world and Humans in terms of difference and diversity. Further this person thinks in these terms in the analysis of all things, always looking for and appreciating the individual, particular, unique.
Social diversity – The Social Genio sees a social world of many demographics and strata and revels in the rich variety. Diversity, inclusion and equality are essential principles.
Flexibility – The Social Genio is highly flexible in methods, she or he does not believe in fixed ideas or ideas that are immutable, beyond criticism and modification. Flexibility leads to new perceptions and new solutions and more complex thinking.
Experiment – A creative person is never certain whether an idea will be successful, all is subject to experiment and testing. This is all part of the creative process. A Social Genio may not be certain that a particular idea will work but is quite certain that the process of repeated experimentation will eventually yield results.
The New – Creative people have no fear of the New. Often the new provides innovative ideas and technologies that can give a new solution to a problem. Those who stress the old are attempting to hold back change and put up a roadblock to evolution.
Schools of thought – A creative activist does not accept there is only way to look at something, in the course of social change there will arise many schools of thought on a subject. This is natural, very Human, and yields many solutions. This process is educational to all, can be very humbling and leads to individuals combining schools of thought and thus looking at the world more in terms of synthesis and diverse wholes.
Multiple solutions, Contradictory solutions – We live in a diverse world, multiple perception is a fundamental law of our realm, the Social Genio accepts this, thrives in it and relies upon it to provide a toolbox of concepts and methods and strategies. And further, the wise person will grasp that even contradictory tactics can be used at the same time on a complex problem, and this does not mean one is a hypocrite but simply that one is a practical and sophisticated thinker.
The Practical – What goes along with multiple perception and multiple solution is a higher view on strategies and problem solving. When the “practical” becomes a guide, then one is free to mix and match solutions. The goal becomes success in managing a problem rather than allegiance to any concept or paradigm.
Evolution – The world, society and individuals are in a state of constant change. Differentiation is the force of the cosmos, the power that creates difference. One form of difference is difference over time, this is change, process and evolution. The social activist accepts that society is in state of motion, this is actually what History is. More, the creative person finds out about these forces and guides them toward humane and ethical ends, rather than letting evolution run amuck and hurt people and benefit a cruel few.
Chaos – Chaos is a natural state of creativity, for the individual and social groups. Within the individual are competing ideas and a lack of a definite plan. To some degree the creative person is lost and confused at points. In Social Creativity, chaos arises as many people and groups pursue differing ideas, experiments and solutions. But this chaos is highly productive because it yields useful creative products and closes off dead ends. More, this chaos is not a pure chaos it is organized to some extent and guided also to some extent. This is the job of a leader of social creativity – to engineer the paradox of organization and chaos so that the creative process is as productive and “efficient” as possible.
Competition – if we have a world of diverse approaches and multiple perception, then the natural relationship will be that of competition. This will drive ahead innovation and individual thinking. The difference however with old style competition is that in the new era competition there will not be one winner, for we will be open minded and flexible in our use of many of the creative products.
Transitions and continuity – A creative person is more likely to be less destructive toward old institutions and practices, she or he will discover ways to use some old elements putting them under new organizing principles. One who is not flexible will not see the possibilities in the old, and will automatically declare everything obsolete. This would leave society with no institutions, no transitions. Gaps would appear in providing some essential service or function. This kind of revolution leads to dysfunction and paralysis because the old has been liquidated but the new has not been generated to replace it.
New and Old together--The creative person stresses the New but not to the exclusion of the Old, the past and the future are united in the present. Our first consideration is the case where the new has not been created yet, so we might continue with the old practice. The second consideration is that it is unlikely that ALL old practices are wrong. A third consideration is that the new may be immediately possible but that people are not ready for it psychologically.
Ambiguity and uncertainty – When you are being creative, you are working toward a goal but often you are not clear on what the finished product will be, because there may be many surprising twists and turns to come. In this initial phase of creativity you are in a state of uncertainty. Your ideas are vague and ambiguous though you compensate with idealism and ambition. A Social Genio must have the ability to stand higher levels of ambiguity and uncertainty than the average person. If you cannot, you will jump to a quick and premature solution to hasten closure and expediency. For the creative individual it is the uncertainty itself that drives activity and determination, and feeds endurance and desire.
Certainty does not drive us toward creativity, it sits self satisfied in a serene stillness with no motivation or fire. Preconceived precision and its love of systemization and details halts the creative process because ambiguity dominates in the early phase of innovation.
Faith and confidence in creativity – Though in a state of ambiguity and uncertainty, the experienced Genio will develop a great faith in her or his creativity. Time after time, while initially lost and confused the individual will triumph and solve a problem. With repeated success and results, an attitude and feeling begins to grow. It aids when there are setbacks and during the dark doldrums that characterizes some periods in the creative process. This emotion and knowledge is rooted in positive experience -- one aspect would be called “faith”, the other “confidence”, another “optimism”, another “hope”.
Those who have faith only in dogma cannot go the distance, they will panic at the divergence between their dogma and the world. They cannot survive not knowing, not having all answers.
But when those who have faith in their own creativity encounter difficulties they remain composed and keep working, and they ignore the hysteria that others have for History and its evolutionary development and its unknown paths.
Directness -- This is about direct action, direct participation, direct connection, direct knowledge, direct communication, direct relationship, direct obligation, direct control -- these are all forms of directness. Directness is a highly essential technique and attitude for a creative mind. When we are removed from direct connection with the world then middle men and institutions, bureaucracies and academic theory will deny you information, control and dialogue
For Social Creativity to be effective an individual must be directly in contact with her or his realm of work, with all those people who are important in this area. For facilitators of Social Creativity, they too must be in direct contact with their work and those engaged in the work.
We cannot have relationships obstructed or made one-way, we cannot have communication filtered, delayed or censured by middlemen. The path of “indirectness” offers buffers, “representatives”, agents, go-betweens and more. If this situation develops then one loses control and knowledge. Directness stimulates dialogue, diverse opinion, true information, intimacy, fidelity and trust. And directness stimulates creativity because one cannot do creative work if you are removed from the subject of your work.
Universal application of creativity – Creativity should be applied to everything. Nothing is perfect and all can be improved and further all is in a state of evolution. Fields, disciplines, institutions, theories, practices, behaviors, economic systems, family, education, businesses, government, media, international relations, community, the environment and animals, art, psychology, medicine are all realms for creative work. Even the best institutions will need creative development. Each individual and each generation needs its creative task. Creativity is the highest f purposes.
Positive, builder, helper -- The Social Genio is not a negative personality, she or he is constructive. The creative activist is a builder, a builder of new cultural lifestyles and new institutions, and a builder of new politics. And most of all, the social creator is a helper and does not postpone relief for suffering people at some point later when the “great revolution” occurs. The Genio tries to help people right now, for compassion and care are immediate affections that cannot be delayed and rescheduled , they demand action, active love.
Reality is plastic – the one thing that unites both matter and ideas, the physical and the mental, the abstract and the concrete, the internal and the external is that all of these dualities are Plastic. All are subject to evolution and change. All things are malleable. Creativity is the core law of the cosmos and all things. The artist is the primary personality.
Material illusion – Social Creativity looks at the world and sees physical things and systems and concludes that they are all illusions and fantasies having nothing to do with Human reality. Social Creativity declares that these entities are “external illusions”, they are false and immoral and harmful. Social Creativity returns to idealism and goes inward, it holds that the inner illusions are the true reality, the truly Human way.
The Future is art – History does not really repeat as we have been taught. Moreover, history is creative, it is evolutionary, it brings new things never seen before, and sets itself new tasks never undertaken before. We have no models to work from, where are the examples of modern direct democracy or mass creativity? These phenomena have not occurred before. The future is a work of art. So let us be artists of the Future.
Development of personal creativity – A Social Genio will try to maintain her or his personal creativity, for it is here that most of us have learned about creative technique and attitudes. And in this realm, we deal directly with creativity free of social issues and this results in sharper realizations about methods and skills.
General Axxiad Programme: Here are some ideas on programme generated by this philosophy:
• Social diversity, the multi-cultural and equality
• Direct democracy by the people
• A healthy mental Diverse of emotions and sub-minds created by education, psychology, media and personal philosophy or spirituality
• Healthy individuality versus unhealthy individuality
• Teaching of skills of creativity to all
• An economy of diverse goals, multiple values and multiple measures
• The creation and defense of a culture with multiple values and multiple institutions of power
• Acceptance of a diverse planet of many cultures, religions and races; the creation of cooperation, peace and mutual institutions by consent

• The creation of a media system that is fully open and democratic, that promotes dialogue, learning and synthesis of ideas.
• The creation of Diverse Wholes in society to bring together the diversity and complexity into a unity that is flexible and free.
• The creation of a Human being as a Diverse Whole of emotions, mindsets, perspectives, skills and needs.
• And so on.
Diverse Philosophy Applications. Such a philosophy has no limit to its range of applications:
• Psychology. The issue of a very complex brain with many sub-minds
• Emotions. The management of many emotions
• Multiculturalism and social diversity
• Multiple perception
• Creativity. This is an attendant method to diversity; creativity is a self-conscious method of creating difference
• Love. We have historically the love of the same, now we must embrace the love of the different
• Nature and Human. It is possible that a species has had too much differentiation from its home and source
• Time. Time is a diverse of moments, and differing speeds and stages of evolution.
• History. Social history is the story of differentiation in culture, religion, ethnicity, class, gender roles and social institutions.
• Education. The goal of education should be to address all sides of a Human being.
• Individuality. Perhaps the strongest expression of diversity that we feel is that of our own individuality.
• Identity. The battle for self-identity is difficult yet necessary to lead a happy and productive life.
• Self growth. In a diverse, one is in a state of constant development.
• Moral problems. In a diverse world, ethics becomes somewhat complicated, diverse thought methods can help.
• Directness. This is the notion of direct immersion and connection in life without the use of middlemen or representatives to make fundamental decisions for you.
• Economics. It is time to create an economic system that has a diversity of goals and operating targets and measures, and leave behind a system based solely on profit and money.
• Government. The principle of Directness leads to the essential practice of a Direct Democracy.
• International relations. We are seeking a world of free nations, freely associating in certain global institutions, yet retaining essential self sovereignty.
• Organization. Diverse thinking alters organization theory to account for freedom of the parts and the use of multiple goals and targets.
• Strategy. Diverse philosophy allows for multiple goals in strategy and the simultaneous application of contradictory strategy to different sides of a complex phenomenon.
• Thought methods. In a new mindset, our tools for analysis are different. "Logic" is redefined, we have a new logic with new axioms.
• The spiritual. For those seeking spiritual practice, Diverse Philosophy offers new ideas.
• Communication. In a Social Diverse, communication is the key means of connecting thus it must be free and open.
• Complex life. Life in the modern age is difficult, a philosophy that addresses the myriad of issues of life is more likely to be effective.
• Complex society. Likewise, a philosophy that addresses the complexity of social institutions, the necessity of many goals and targets, direct democracy and checks and balances of institutions will fare better
• Civilization. Ultimately, diverse philosophy frames a new civilization or at least what civilization should be.
With so many applications, Diverse Philosophy is a unique kind of philosophy. It offers central ideas that can be applied and developed in many realms of application. This even includes morality, psychology and the spiritual. Because of this, a special term was developed, Axxiad.
REOCCURRING THEMES
There are reoccurring themes in the essential structure of the philosophy. These ideas are applied universally to problems. The principles are:
• Differentiation, the fundamental notion of developing difference, parts, the new.
• Diverse wholes, a goal we seek once we have identified and developed differentiation
• Undifferentiation, which is an opposite notion to differentiation, it has to do with stability, organization, models
• Reproduction is also an important concept in this philosophy because we also concerned with reproducing people who can be differentiators, and this a unique combination of differentiation and undifferentiation
Related to these above are two other notions:
• Positive differentiation. This is differentiation, evolution of parts and the new which does not result in extremes, conflicts, exploitation, neglect etc.
• Negative differentiation. This form of differentiation produces new parts, new things but they are not healthy. They are dwarfed, at war, manipulated etc. usually by a hierarchy that benefits.
Other ideas:
• A Subsume. This is a state that precedes differentiation and evolution when parts and differences have not appeared yet. In this state all things are embryonic, confused, fused. This is a state that precedes great creative leaps. It is both a state of mind and a social state or even a state from which human evolution was triggered. Diverse thinkers are on the alert for the appearance of new wholes and their constituent elements.
• Evolution of Part and Whole. Once the parts and whole are identified and forged into a unity, one must be aware that the elements of this whole continue to evolve, the parts and structural components that unite the whole and serve the whole, all is in motion to higher stages.
DIVERSE THINKING ALSO REPEATEDLY GIVES US IDEAS SUCH AS:
• Individuality. Because individuality is a fundamental and very personal form of the Diverse. We feel it, experience it every minute of our lives.
• Individuality, Diversity, Creativity. This is a trinity that reoccurs constantly when thinking on the personal level.
• Multiple. Multiple perception, multiple thinking, multiple strategy, multiple goals, multi-culturalism and so on. Diverse philosophy is wholly concerned with "multiple this and multiple that".
• Directness. Another concept that appears over and over whether in personal life and in organization.
• Golden rule. This arises independently in Diverse Thinking and echoes an ancient wisdom we have not yet learned.
• Love. Love of the different is also an idea that appears repeatedly. Love of self then follows. But also love of others, caused by a subsume pov and undifferentiation.
Other notions appear about wholes and unity, multiple minds or sub-minds, spirit and feelings, emotions derived from each of the Forms.
14 PERSONAL THEMES OF DIVERSE THINKING
This is a short list of principles or axioms of Diverse Philosophy applied to personal behavior. This begins with a discussion of the cosmos, the external world to establish some basic concepts, and then we take these ideas and enter into the realm of culture and psychology:
We live in a “Diverse” and not a “Universe”
A “Diverse” is a cosmos filled with difference and variety which is in constant change and evolution. Galaxies, solar systems, living things, Human cultures, individuals, multiple perception and our complex brains are all expressions of this grand diversity.
A “Universe” is a phenomenon that is united by similarity and commonality; in a Universe all is the same and thus subject to strict control. For some time, we have believed in a Universe, and this misperception has led to an aversion toward diversity, individuality and creativity, and to the formation of authoritarian systems of thought, social organization and global relationships.
It should be clear at the beginning of the 21st century that the world, nations, Human beings and the entire cosmos is not a Universe at all, in fact, this has been the philosophical problem to begin with. When we grasp that reality is dominated by difference and change, then we can greatly reduce the suffering in our lives. Here are some themes of a Diverse:
Differentiation and Individuality
A very important concept about the Diverse is “differentiation” which means the generation of difference. Difference in the Diverse would include, for example, individuality. Change, the new and evolution are types of difference that take place over time. Complexity is the expression of differences within a whole or system. A general list of types of differentiation might include: detail, parts, individuality, change, complexity, particularity, conflict, duality, the new, evolution, chaos, splitting, the creative, inner and outer, variety, range, simultaneity, non-hierarchy, the indeterminate, the vague, the inefficient, the wandering, the unstable, the flexible, the non-uniform, the independent and so much more.
For Human beings, diversity, individuality and creativity are highly important themes of differentiation. Another way to say this is ‘Freedom”. Diverse Philosophy is a thesis of Liberation.
Undifferentiation and Wholes
Opposed to differentiation is “undifferentiation” which means the limitation of difference or opposition to difference. Undifferentiation is the opposite of differentiation. For each force of differentiation there is a force of undifferentiation, for example, opposed to change is the not changing or static, opposed to the new is the old, opposed to individuality is sociality, opposed to free action are social rules and obligations, opposed to the creative is the repetition of past models, and so on. Undifferentiation takes many forms from similarity to imitation, stasis, unity, organization, hierarchy, deductive thought etc. Undifferentiation is essential otherwise we would not have organisms, organization or logical thought or theoretical systems or education or community institutions or government or economies or any unifying structures.
Differentiation is a primary force but undifferentiation is necessary also, the trick for Human beings is to find the right mix of the two for each problem to solve.
An essential feature of undifferentiation is the coordinating of diverse wholes. Once we have generated diversity, individuality and creativity, we must unite the many parts or people into a whole. Otherwise we will create cultures of alienation, egotism, conflict, chaos and exploitation.
If we have a situation where there is too much undifferentiation in the form of group think and statism and dogma, then we must focus on generating differentiation.
There is no fixed idea about whether the main issue is that of generating differentiation or forging a whole, this thesis is practical and proceeds from conditions and not prejudgment. There are two paths, one is of differentiation, and the other is differentiation, they are both necessary.
The result of the forces of differentiation and undifferentiation is the creation of a Diverse Whole. This is our ultimate goal -- ourselves as a Diverse Whole, society as a Diverse Whole, the planet as a Diverse Whole.
Multiple Perception and Multiple Everything
Multiple perception is another highly important concept in Diverse thought. There are different points of view per individual in society. Within a single complex Human mind are also competing perceptions and behaviors. There are different cultural perspectives in a society and different perspectives of entire epochs. There is no singular or general point of view for Human beings. Further, there are multiple goals, multiple strategies, multiple behaviors, multiple causes, multi-culturalism, the multi-centered, multiple values and multiple powers.
As for culture, the best we can do is find a few overarching themes of unity between us, so that we can be a functioning whole, yet a very diverse one at that. If we demand too many points of agreement, we undermine diversity and the multicultural.
Most problems, personal, social or scientific, happen because of a multiplicity of causes so it is best to find them all or we will not be able to solve problems. Individuals and cultures have multiple values, when we reduce life to one mono-value like money for example we suppress all other values. And because of this problem we seek multiple powers in a culture to represent this variety of values. When we develop a strategy to solve a complex problem we may be using quite different tactics for each aspect of the problem because we know that the same approach does not work in all cases. In organization we should be looking for new strategies of many centers rather than the old idea of a fixed authoritarian headquarters.
In the living of ordinary life, we find that it is very complex owing to many goals, values, necessities, perceptions and stages of development. New thinking and techniques are needed to survive in our modern age.
Multiple perception leads to multiple thinking, that is, Range thinking which is thinking in terms of ranges of solutions for problems, multiple solutions for problems. Range thinking emphasizes openness, flexibility and transitional thinking.
The idea of multiple perception goes so far as to hold that there can be no singular view on the Diverse. The Human view on the whole Diverse yields many, many perspectives. Even when we try to lay out the general principle of our Diverse, we will have disagreements because the Diverse is so big and manifold that it allows many interpretations. Thus, Humans find some vague and general points of unity, and develop their particular schools of thought and conduct research and argumentation endlessly.
The multiple viewpoint leads to a path of solutions and success. It supports and expands the diversity of the world. It is a way that is responsible and leads to no harm. This method develops knowledge and skills which help us handle the variety and the complexity of the life.
Many Minds, Many Emotions
In the diverse mind of a Human being are many things. When we refuse to accept and learn about and manage our manifold brains, then we suffer from many things. There are many minds for us to coordinate: the logical, imaginative, emotional, subconscious, mind of doing, subsume mind and the mind of wisdom. Also, we construct centers that deal with our identity, the spirit and moral behavior. Further, we must learn to manage our world of many emotions, learn their natures and laws. Psychologically and emotionally we are a Diverse Whole created by Mother Nature to function, survive and flourish.
As Humans we live in a realm where the real and illusion, the tangible and intangible are one. We live in a realm of myth and story. We live in a realm of Spirit. We require ritual and rebinding. All these things must also be cherished and developed; they are essential parts of our mental Diverse too.
Golden Rule
Multiple perception and individuality lead to an interesting problem. The Diverse promotes individuality because it loves multiplicity and difference. However, each person may become self absorbed and not appreciate multiple perceptions and needs in society, that is, the views and needs of others. Thus, ethics arises. The Diverse Golden Rule arises, to treat others as you would have them treat you, and to try to understand their views, and break from your narrow singular perception into a multiple perception of all society, all Humanity. We must understand in a social Diverse, the part (the person) carries within it the perception of the whole (society and other Humans). A person thus has a dual mindset of self and others. The Diverse makes the personal primary but demands that this not be absolute or extreme. So, in the beginning, the multiple perception of the Diverse produces many different individual views, in a later stage the individual views must leap out of themselves into multiple perception.
This whole multiple perception problem leads to a discussion of individuality and sociality. They are not in contradiction to each other, they aid each other.
And when finally, we grasp that one cannot represent the whole, but at the same time one must represent the whole, then we will understand the essence of Diverse ethics. The stress on the individual, on freedom, on the parts, on diversity and so on can leave us disconnected if we are not careful. We are both responsible for ourselves but also to maintain a world where good things exist for others too. We are thus condemned to a split consciousness where we are a part that must see beyond the narrow confines of a part to see the vast whole.
There must come a reversal of consciousness and in this reversal is the essence of all ethical evolution. The whole is the ideal in our minds, an ethereal template that we use to arrange the world. Without this lofty abstraction in the head of an individual no civilized community, society or culture can be created. When the individual grasps that she or he is not just an individual and that she or he is part of a whole, and must act for that whole, then we have journeyed to the most profound irony of the Human Diverse.
Diverse Love
Lakape is diversity applied to love, the love of the different. This is the Diverse philosophy contribution to the list of forms of love. The Diverse mind loves difference and thus loves the Diverse. The anti-diverse do not like difference and do not love the different and hate the Diverse. Lakape unites the Human whole as one.
True, we have in our world the love of the similar, love of the same. But this love in itself has not brought us a better world. Look around you. We can idealize this love and take it to the level of “brotherly love”, a love for all mankind, but this logical trick though better, still does not deal with differences, it does not explore and appreciate differences. When we love differences, when we crave diversity, when we assimilate variety, then we have come to a new level. Then we can unite Humanity and find harmony within it because we accept the basic fact of Human beings: They are all different. When we do not accept or ignore difference we cannot make a new world.
Creativity
Evolution can be said to be creative, Genio is the idea of creativity. Differentiation by definition generates creativity, otherwise individuality, evolution and so on could not occur. Creativity and diversity are twin ideas coming from the same parent.
Genio is a primary force in the cosmos and in Humans. Genio gives us all Genius.
The sphere mind (creative mind) is the expression of our Genio power of imagination and creativity. Our thread mind is the logical, rational mind that represents the side of us that requires undifferentiation: reason, systemization, use of models, education methods etc. The sphere mind and the thread mind work together to produce creative projects. The sphere mind initiates and the thread mind finishes.
Creativity is an enormous realm of Diverse thinking. It grows into a vast discipline of its own.
Self Creativity
Perhaps, the most important form of Genio is Self Genio, the creation of ourselves! We want more than just being creative, we want to improve ourselves, fix ourselves, even transcend ourselves. The spirit and techniques of creativity can help us break through limitations in our psyche. Working with methods of psychology, creativity is a powerful force of self change.
Self Identity
Achievement of self identity is a creative process that harmonizes a vast array of personality elements into a singular definition of your self. This is a primary task of a Human life. The two fundamental features of the cosmos, Genio and diversity, drive personality development. Also, your identity is about your uniqueness, at the same time, it represents a whole that is you, this whole is vast set of traits and behaviors that is completely distinct.
We must also develop a story of who we are, create a mythology of our personality and fate. This myth records and organizes our identity. It becomes our guide and is changed now and then as we encounter realizations and new situations.
Life without having achieved a basic sense of self identity is a tragedy. But life where we have come to know who we are and what we must do provides the greatest of joys and certainty.
The Self-Conscious Diverse
What primary relation do Human beings have to the Diverse? We are the Self-Conscious Diverse, we are the self aware Diverse. The natural Diverse or the cosmos is not self aware, it does not have consciousness, its behavior is in a more profound category beyond our understanding.
Further, we must strive to be like the Diverse, we have a tendency to make the Diverse like us, giving it Human qualities while it, in fact, is something completely transcendent. But by observing the Diverse we can understand and manage ourselves by thinking in terms of differentiation, creativity, change, individuality and evolution. There are many models and lessons that Humans can take from Nature and the Cosmos that apply directly to our condition. And there are others that give us hints as to how we should behave spiritually and morally.
When we try to clothe the outer world in Human terms we tend to not see the essential forces, laws and truths operating. We should separate Object from Subject, and then figure out how the axioms of the Object might be used in the peculiar circumstances of the Subject which is driven by emotions, morality and spirit.
There are two spirits. One is the spirit of the Nature and the Cosmos, its laws and forces and personality. The second spirit is within a person formed by the very same dynamics within our bodies and psyches. This spirit drives us forward and pushes us to grow and transcend ourselves, just as it does in Nature. And this spirit eventually takes us to the “spiritual” itself to the higher issues of existence, meaning and purpose.
We are the self aware Diverse, we have consciousness and imagination. It is our fate to begin in ignorance and then build up knowledge of our world. This means learning about the axioms of Nature and the Cosmos, and developing thought methods that reflect the way the external world behaves – analytic techniques that stress differentiation, change, evolution, wholes, systems, duality, disorder and more.
Also, this self awareness leads to an awareness of our own psyche, and how in its particular way we are diverse and extremely complex and dynamic. A Human being on this path develops Power, a personal power drawn from the core power of all things.
When we have achieved a certain level of self awareness then we realize that being the self-aware portion of the Cosmos we have a responsibility and set of tasks to fulfill. The Diverse is more of a verb than a noun, it is a state of action, and thus we too should be action oriented.
And when we act, we have faith in what we do, because we know that the essential character of the world is differentiation and change. We rely on this fact, and our faith with patience will eventually yield positive results.
Directness and the Empiric
Directness and the Empiric are fundamental ways that we live in complex Diverse. To get to know a variety of things we must directly experience them. More, directness is absolutely necessary for control and freedom. One must avoid middle men and saviors and “leaders” who will mediate your connections and knowledge, and then control you.
An "empiric" is one who stresses direct experience, one who engages in the empirical realm of life. The empiric is a scientist of life, one who studies it, goes into it, practices it, experiments with it, gathers emotional and perceptual data, and draws conclusions, arriving at ideas about life. The themes of directness and the empiric bring us individuality, but at the same time they help us know a whole (ourselves, life and society) and thus aid us in forming a Diverse Whole from which all people would benefit.
Communication
Diverse thought applied to communication and media gets right to the heart of the matter about diversity. Communication is the primary way that the Human Diverse connects and relates. When basic communication is hindered, then diversity is hindered and then suffering results. De-communication warps our Social Diverse; communication opens it up and lets it flourish. Communication brings learning, assimilation, persuasion; de-communication, in the end, brings force, the force of one social group against another, one anti-social individual against another. The task in this age is to unite our free communications into a whole, so that we have difference and unity as well in a new kind of media nation. The individual in this age must communicate and draw others into communication.
Time
This may be one of the most difficult things to grasp about the Diverse. The Diverse breaks up time into parts. It throws at us an infinite succession of moments giving us the problem of managing the new moment and also staying connected to what is continuous through all moments, the continuities that ground us. These continuities are the fundamental and long-term grounds of our lives – our identity, family, community, principles, goals and more.
This confusion of moments called “momentia” has several features. Some of us grasp onto moments that we try to repeat again and again. Others experience a sequence of unrelated moments, one after the other, this is usually caused by modern media. Many float in a kind of empty daze as consumerism and systems of communication deliver to us one meaningless moment after another.
We must reunite time to keep ourselves whole and sane otherwise the chaos and dizziness of moments will confuse and weaken us.
Time also puts all things into evolution and then has different rates of evolution and stages of evolution for each thing or person. Everyone and everything is on a different track of evolution. The differences cause conflict and opportunities for abuse. Children, students and less developed nations become victims of the more advanced. We must bring all these differing evolutions into harmony to keep the planet a whole and not a chaos of sectarianism and war. The juxtaposition of different stages of evolution requires love and responsibility on the part of the more advanced.
Nature
*****************************
These fourteen points do not exhaust, by any means, features of Diverse thinking, there are many other aspects. The point here is to give us a good working list.
For a Planet of Diversity and a Planet That Is a Whole
Here is a working list of 15 themes to improve international relations in this period of animosity and war:
Promote Global Diversity
This is the principle which runs through all other principles, it is the first principle, as well as, the last principle. We live in a Global Diverse of nations, this is not only our objective reality but it is a natural state of affairs because diversity is a fundamental force in the cosmos and in Human beings. Further, this is a desirable condition because diversity makes the world more interesting, more creative, offers more solutions to problems, powers evolution and development, and increases our base of knowledge and skills.
Understand Multiple Perception
What follows from accepting diversity is grasping that there are many points of view on any issue or value. To live in Global Diverse is to appreciate and respect these manifold standpoints and to find a FEW general themes of overall planetary unity, for that is really all that we need to get along.
Support the Multi-Centered
A diverse planet will not be one with a super-system or a one-world government or any sort of centralized, authoritarian power. It will be a varied community of many sovereign independent nations with different governments, cultures, religions. Cultural and regional associations are natural to develop in this situation. A Diverse Whole is a free whole.
Create Mutual Institutions
Any institution that becomes global must be agreed upon voluntarily. No nation or group of nations can force this upon others. Many may not want to participate, that is their right.
These institutions may be economic, may be legal. Global services such as conflict resolution, healthcare, education, emergency aid, famine relief should be provided.
World forums can provide pledges and unified agreement. Ceding judicial power on certain issues can only happen within a select circumscribed set of issues, for fundamentally nations must retain national sovereignty.
Grasp We Have One-Shared-Economy on This Planet
The cold war and the age of imperialism and colonialism is over, we now have one-shared-economic system, not competing ideological systems or competing colonial empires. Because we have one-shared-economic system there is no longer a logical basis for war only business competition.
Work for a Fair Economic System
In a world with one-shared-economic system the key is to actually share the economic system. And put an end to the monopoly of wealth controlled by rich nations. A world economy where the poor nations have a chance, where the playing field is level is what we would want. Circumstances that do not allow unfair interest rates in loans, unfair use of reserve currencies, unfair pricing of goods, unfair trade rules, unfair currency policies are what we seek.
We want a planet where hard work, intelligence, skill and creativity will be rewarded with success -- because in any normal situation this does occur, so between nations we demand this normality too.
Practice Compassion and Aid
Care and diversity go together. What can we say? Compassion is necessary for reasons of moral satisfaction and conscience for the good soul. And compassion then leads to trust and well being and harmony among nations. Compassion creates a reciprocity of love and debt and respect which leads to friendship and partnership between all.
Think of Cooperation and Joint Projects
Cooperation between big and small nations, rich and poor nations is essential to end the strife in the world and even up global economic development. Joint projects are a key way. Both nations benefit from such a bargain.
Prepare for Knowledge Trading
Poor nations do not have to reinvent the wheel, they can move straight into a more technologically advanced culture. The key is a global education system that reaches even the most remote and poor region. With global education we can give knowledge to children everyplace on the planet via computers and the internet; an advanced curriculums can be broadcast anyplace.
Then with this knowledge, poor nations can immediately use modern theory, technology, organization and methods.
Ultimately, what a modern economy does is exchange knowledge. A market place is a scene where ideas are traded in the form of products and services. We buy one sort of knowledge paying with another sort of knowledge. So knowledge and education are the keys to leap past poverty into the new age. With educated young minds great new possibilities exist for business, technology, science in the underdeveloped world.
Develop the Art of Ex-War
The art of war has dominated for thousands of years. It is based upon systems of imperialism and colonialism. It goes far back to the ancient time of Sun Tzu. But we longer live in such a world. We live in an age of one-shared-economic system where war is irrational and has nothing at all to do with business and economics.
Today we are must develop the art of ex-war, the ways and means of peace and cooperation and compassion.
Stop the War at Home
Warlike mentalities actually begin at home. The struggle against war begins in your own nation. Peoples learn the behaviors of war and practice their craft where they live. Inequality, poverty, lack of freedom, and chaos are the results of this war at home. If we can stop the war at home, then we can stop the war which spreads beyond borders across the planet.
Develop Personal Foreign Policy
Personal foreign policy is perhaps one of the best guarantees of peace and cooperation on this planet. The internet is a major way to do this. Never before in history has a tool like this been presented. Combined with cheap global travel which will cement electronic connections into Human-to-Human, direct connections, modern tools can create long lasting relationships between nations one personal friendship at a time.
Avoid Simultry
Simultry is the act of taking advantage of individuals or groups of people that are at a lower stage of evolution though existing simultaneously. This can include rich nations over poor nations; teachers over students; leaders over followers; adults over children etc. In the case of nations, simultry holds back economic and technological development.
We want to stop simultry between nations so that they can evolve. At the same time we know that each nation is diverse and will have its own path of cultural growth. The goal is a world equality and diversity. Part of this goal is to stop rich nations from harping about poor nations and to focus on fixing their own problems. Every nation has its own problems of development that it must overcome. No nation escapes this fundamental fact of planetary life.
Eliminate “Ideology”
Ideology is a common destructive behavior in our epoch. Ideology categorizes, judges and then attacks Human beings for not fitting into some scheme of ideas. Ideology is not thought or logic at all, it is an emotional illness masquerading as reason and fact. Ideology kills. Let us kill ideology before it kills us all.
Help Make a Joint Myth for the Planet
Finally, Earth is a planet without an overall myth. It is an orb caught up in confusion, hate and war. It is the planet without a clue careening through space with no more wisdom than a dead moon.
What the whole Human race needs is a mythology to unite itself. We need a story we can tell ourselves of who we are, what our dreams and goals are, what is right and what is wrong, what our principles and methods are, and how we fit into Nature and the Cosmos.
23 SOCIAL PRINCIPLES OF DIVERSE THINKING
We live in a Social Diverse which is a part of a bigger Diverse.
When we apply the idea of a Diverse to our social realm we end up with quite a large list of issues, here are a number of these topics below:
The Social Diverse
We live in a Social Diverse though some will deny this. When we do not respect the principles of a Social Diverse as some anti-diverse people do, then we have problems, we have suffering.
The principles of social diversity demand that we respect difference, appreciate difference, learn from difference, use difference, and promote difference. Multiculturalism is a natural behavior in a Social Diverse. Equality is a fundamental premise of this condition. And action to create equality is an exigent call upon all. The citizen in a diverse democracy is ever alert and vigilant.
Our first proscription in a manifold world is bigotry – No racism, no ethnic and national discrimination, no misogyny, no anti-Semitism, no exclusion on the basis of disability, appearance, sexual orientation, age, social strata etc. NO prejudice in any form is acceptable.
The list of bigotries is endless -- we cannot list them all but we are against them ALL, and this even includes the new forms that ill minds will create in the future.
We extend bigotry to mistreating individuals with different sub-cultural behaviors and lifestyles, this too is not acceptable. Glass ceilings, poverty, unequal pay, bad schools, lack of services, double agendas and so on, all of these things result from anti-diverse behaviors and are not acceptable to civilized Human beings.
Bigotry and prejudice is a process. We can call this “casteing” in the sense of creating castes. We must be aware of all forms of casteing, those direct and obvious, and those that are subtle and indirect, and lurk in gray areas where the immoral like to inhabit.
Casteing is a process that locks people out. The opposite of casteing is the process that brings people within. Remedying the effects of inequality takes place through action, through programs to help people. If we have inequality but we are taking no action against it, then we are sustaining it. Discrimination is a process; anti-discrimination is the opposite process.
Declarations of equality when some are still suffering the political, psychological, cultural and economic effects of bigotry are false pronouncements and false sentiments. The damage must be fixed before we can say such things. Some may hide behind high principles of “liberty”, but we must judge these trees by their fruit, and we can see that they do not care and their fruit is rotten and putrid. Attitudes of blame the victim are wrong. Setting lower expectations for downtrodden groups is also very wrong.
Along with these principles is the practice of social combination. Through life experience we have the fundamental unifier of common experience. When we bring many different people together in a joint effort we can build affinity and sincerity, sympathy and empathy. When people can live together, work together, and socialize together then they can change their views. Principles and worldviews are not enough, we need the actual physical experience of sustained mutual contact, then we can learn to get along, and work for a common goal.
These integrating experiences do not eradicate difference or diversity at all. They sustain difference. But they actually teach two opposite things at the same time. First is appreciation of difference, the second is the recognition of commonality with all other Human beings. This duality provides the trick that binds us together in an unbreakable bond.
The Free and Healthy Individual
The Free Individual is the ultimate expression of the Diverse. We are primarily individuals, this is the nature of our existence in the world; this is the world’s way of manifesting diversity in the Human race. The Human goal is to become a “healthy individual”.
Individuality is a fact of social life; we cannot and should not try to suppress it. We exist as individuals, we sense, perceive, feel, think and act as individuals. We are part of a whole but we are mainly individual in our behaviors.
At the same time, we live in a culture that suppresses individuality, that is, healthy individuality, in many different ways. In one way we are becoming extreme individualists or even “bodyists” driven by selfishness, narcissism, self absorption. This is not healthy individualism at all.
In other ways we are alienated and disconnected, we are alone and vulnerable. This condition leads to extreme individuality on the part of some but it also can lead to groupism.
Consumerism and marketing and media and entertainment foster a group think where we join a marketing demographic and buy into some image and be part of some troupe.
This is odd because this behavior is the exact opposite of egotism and yet these exist side by side, two extremes as severe twins.
And some of us are both at once -- group think in some ways, narcissist in others. And certainly, our groups are elite and condescending, and our narcissism is easily punctured by the latest trend that makes us un-cool and obsolete. Upon the initial condition of alienation and disconnection, behavior moves in different directions.
Enter entertainment, it provides us with substitute myths and role models. We become lost and confused; we try to act like other people, at least fictional people. As a result, we cannot discover our true identities. And identity is essential for a true individual, identity is self-conscious individuality. Individuality without self identity is blind.
Add another condition: We lack emotional training, we get little from parents or school or media or work; this leaves us vulnerable to marketing and entertainment.
Add another new condition: The Internet, this amplifies on alienation with electronic relationships that lack intimacy and trust. As we communicate more in an electronic world our direct Human-to-Human relationships are declining.
This can lead to more alienation and more group think too. Dependency evolves as individuals find they are lost on a hostile sea, they search for respite and salvation. They become dependent on other individuals and institutions. Group think grows as people join sectarian and hostile subcultures, political parties serve the same purpose too.
Also, we find individuals developing relationships with concepts or things such as technology or strange philosophies. And we find people who simply categorize themselves as mountain bikers or hikers and so on, because they have given up on people and have selected activity more rewarding. And we understand why they do this.
And we do not have to discuss mass depression, the use of prescription drugs, addictions of all sorts. All of this follows from the original conditions of our society.
Healthy Individuality is beset in this age with many counter forces -- extreme individuality, alienation, group think, myth substitution, emotional ignorance, identity confusion and shallow electronic relationships, extra-Human relationships, dependency and more.
But healthy individuality is the only path out our pain and confusion. The healthy individual is the only entity that can fix our culture, the unhealthy one cannot. And a government cannot form individuality either. The task is then to create the healthy individual in all the ways that we can. The strong, dignified, moral, striving and creative individual is our goal.
The Socially-Minded Individual
The Socially-minded individual is a connected person without alienation or selfishness.
Individuality without sociality is unhealthy; it leads to many problems of emotional behavior and also to a society of stress. We also know now from history that too much sociality is not good either. What we are then seeking is the right balance for ourselves as individuals and for society as a whole. We are looking for the social individualist.
In the main we will be individuals, that is our natural and physical manifestation in this world. We are supported by many institutions of sociality from education to government, all are essential to a healthy individual.
In a modern culture the general error tends toward the narcissistic, that we get lost in self absorption. So the general task is to stay clear on your relation to other people and society as a whole -- to uphold their need to be diverse and individual and creative, to have compassion for their sufferings, to see the unity of your soul with all souls, to grasp that your individuality has elements within it of other people, and that you are contributing to the formation of other personalities in your lifetime.
A diverse perspective would say that you cannot be the whole of society because you are an individual, a part, and this is good and joyful and creative. But at the same time, we must understand that you must represent the whole too! This reversal of thinking is key to a harmonious culture. In your mind the whole must be understood and maintained. So, the two forces, one of individuality and the other of sociality, affect each other, aid each other, they work together to create a society of cooperation and caring. These two contradictory forces reflect the truth of the world, thus when working together they will uphold our world. Diversity and commonality are the twin pillars of a community.
An Economy of Diverse Values
The present economy of capitalism is a system of one value: Money and Profit. It is driven by subjective Human emotions that reflect this objective mono-value: Avarice and Selfishness.
In a Social Diverse, the myopia of one value would end, and an economy of diverse values would open up. Metrics would express these new values as measurable operating targets for a company or an economy overall. These might include: standard measures of efficiency, raw production and consumer data, product quality, innovation, environmental management, charity, community relations, customer relations, employee relations and reward, equity, family support, community service, marketing and advertising ethics, planetary cooperation and aid, measures of long-term investment, raising product standards and many more things
In this business and financial arrangement, the notion of diversity would extend to diverse forms of ownership and a diverse open market. Further consumers, investors and communities would form their own organizations to work with industry, in this way the economy would be socially diverse and interlocked.
A Culture of Multiple Values
We want a culture of multiple values not simply economic or political values or something else just as narrow. Multiple values reflect social diversity and reflect the diversity of needs of an individual. And to achieve a culture with multiple values we need to create multiple powers, that is, many institutions each defending its value. In this way we can end the domination of a mono-value culture and create checks and balances.
Democracy
Democracy is the whole Social Diverse running the whole Social Diverse. Democracy in this condition is managed directly by its citizens and not through politicians as “representatives”
Directness
Directness is a major theme of life in a Diverse. This refers to the need of an individual to learn about the complexity of the world through direct experience, direct knowledge and direct participation. In this way we are in control of our lives, we can directly manage our lives and directly conduct relationships with institutions and other people.
Global Diversity
The planet is a Diverse of nations. When we accept this then we can end hostility and war. We can aid and cooperate and bring harmony. We can appreciate cultural differences and learn from each other. We can be helpful and patient with those at different levels of development. We can create global institutions by consensus and not by force.
Communication and Media
Communication in this epoch is actually “de-communication”. Big media does not allow access or two-way communication. We are awash with media vertigo, distraction, sensationalism, decline of standards and general nonsense. Communication is the first activity in a whole; it connects the whole with information and ideas. Without communication no relationships can be built. And this is what we see rising in our world.
The internet which is the great hope of the individual is now beset with contradictions. We are bringing our alienation and sectarianism into the internet. At the same time the rise of electronic relationships endangers the more fundamental tactile relationship of face-to-face contact. Fear, hostility, lack of trust, categorization abound. The battle for the internet must be won. The internet represents the first time in Human history that the individual has been able to self publish, this a leap in democracy never seen before. We cannot let this great advance be swamped by alienation or the importing of bad behavior from corporate media.
Entertainment and Art
Entertainment is a whole. It unites relief and education into one overall process. Relief without education is trivial, and education that is not entertaining is painful and boring. Today the general trend is the trivial.
A second problem with modern entertainment is its tendency to undermine the formation of personal myth. Each individual must in life find his or her own personal myth. While entertainment could do a great service in helping us find our myths, it instead chooses to substitute the useless or harmful myths of entertainment stories for our own personal ones.
Another issue with entertainment is its current skill at turning everything into theatre – reality shows and its parallel, theatrical reality, are turning everyday life into an absurd show. The relationship of theatre and the serious are now out of balance.
Education
A whole Human being requires a whole curriculum. Education once was many things in a village. Today education is a narrow thing that stresses mathematics and grammar but in fact fails at even that. So, we do not know really what education’s real purpose is. It seems to be a confused and lost institution.
To create a whole Human being, to bring in wave after wave of new young citizens we should think differently. What we require is a new curriculum, new targets and new measures.
New stresses would include emotion, psychology, self identity, morality, creativity, critical thinking, true analytic thinking, language and communication. Math, grammar and writing will continue as important themes but the approach is failing and must be rethought.
Family
The family is in crisis, a new extended family is needed to help mom and dad with burdening tasks. We need to find for children more parents, uncles and aunts, so that they get more love and support. If we create a diversity of parents we can teach the young more about diversity and individuality. Also, if we create a new extended family, we can give mother and father the freedom to pursue their own identities and be creative.
Nature
Nature and Humanity are a whole. Co-Genio is the notion of a parallel evolution of Human and Nature, the parallel creativities of both entities. Co-genio aims for a harmony of Human and Nature though we can never say this relationship is without problems, there are fundamental conflicts. The footprint no matter how small will exist; the Human race will have the perpetual problem of “big feet”.
We must accept this is a fundamental feature of our character, and try to harmonize our Ex-nature with our natural traits, and to thus harmonize Human with Greater Nature.
We do not know where evolution will take our Ex-natures but we can be sure that we will always have some essential grounding in Nature, for we cannot exist outside of Nature or the Cosmos.
Mythology
A mythology is a big story, the biggest of stories, a complete story that addresses many issues -- our goals, behaviors, personalities and nature, our strategies, our powers and talismans, our mentors and helpers and allies, our enemies, our inner battles, our moral codes, our views of creation, our views of life, proportion and place, our social vision and more.
Science and history are only chapters in a mythology. A myth rises above all because it is about living life. It is highly personal and yet must be social too. Myth is neither fiction nor nonfiction, neither science nor fantasy, neither religion or empirical fact, neither dream nor immediate reality. Myth is a collection of many things. It can be very complex but in the end, it is very simple because it is about living life as a Human being.
Myth is a whole, the whole of the beliefs of a people, the whole of the self beliefs of an individual.
Rituals
What is a ritual? A ritual is an act or event that rebinds you, that is, reconnects you to something important that you have lost touch with. Rituals rebind you with the community, with Nature, with individual people, with yourself, with higher goals and values and so on. A ritual is a fundamental tool to recreate a whole. In the course of everyday living we lose our way, we become one-sided and myopic and disconnected, ritual brings us out of this state.
Civilization
Civilization is by definition diverse. We can measure a civilization by its diversity. When all of this diversity is connected and coordinated into a whole, then we have something transcendent, then we have difference and common purpose, individuality and overall cultural unity. This can lead to the achievement of great things and being “civilized”.
Two Kinds of Strategy – Spatial Diversity and Temporal Diversity
Spatial diversity refers to differences that are not across time, but are in the same time, they are contemporaneous. So, we have two fundamental philosophic forms of diversity: temporal and spatial. Evolution stresses temporal diversity by definition. Tending to spatial diversity leads to caring for what presently exists and accepting things as they are. Focusing on temporal diversity or evolution means to not accept things as they are. From these two kinds of Diverse Thinking come two kinds of ethics. Those concerned with evolution are struggling to replace some obsolete system or behavior and thus to castigate some social group, rightly or not rightly. Those who are concerned with spatial diversity are concerned with caring for and uniting an entire ‘family’, culture, nation, rightly or wrongly. The two views have differences about the issue of exclusion. But the ethics of spatial and temporal diversity can be harmonized. The widest number of people can be united toward some great evolutionary leap, in this way the best aspects of each approach is used.
Time
Time is a whole but in the modern world we break it up. We separate past from the present and future, by creating a state of constant amnesia. This state is created by media dizziness and by obsession with the new and now. We lose touch with the past; we forget it quickly as we focus on the immediate. Without remembering the past, we cannot learn and make plans for the future. We get stuck in a series of moments but cannot find the continuity that runs through all moments; these are the greater issues of life.
Another time issue has to do with parallel evolutions. Individuals and nations are at varying stages of evolution, some at higher and other at lower phases. The danger is that those at the higher stage can take advantage of those at the lower one. This is called “simultry”, an attempt to exploit the differences in simultaneous evolution.
The Forbiddens
A culture climbs up to the next rung in the moral ladder, new "forbiddens" are written. What are the new forbiddens for our day and age? When you say something is not forbidden and that under some circumstance it may be necessary or acceptable, you are not pushing moral evolution, you are being “practical”. Anyone can be practical; struggling for a new ethic is the critical issue. Evolution and development are primary themes of a Diverse. In the case of ethics, we break into new stages of behavior; our forbiddens demarcate a different and new stage of a codex.
The Evolutionary Good
The battle of good and evil evolves from stage to stage without end, one cannot be complacent; each generation has its tasks. The good evolves and we evolve with it.
Civos
A Civos is the act of civilizing or a civilizing event in Human history, Civos evolves endlessly. We advance one Civos at a time.
Social Creativity
While creativity is ultimately individual, groups of people and even whole societies may require an overall strategy and method to manage creativity. Social Creativity protects the integrity of the individual creator, and at the same time manages a group creative process to achieve common ends. A kind of chaos might be an important principle of social creativity, creativity in individuals must be unleashed, an atmosphere of free thinking built, then the force of this rich and diverse creativity can be utilized. Social Creativity unites personal creativities into a whole to achieve a common good.
The Whole and the Part
The force of diversity or differentiation creates distinct entities, these include individuals and social groups, and many entities that later become parts of a whole.
Differentiation creates the vast variety of the cosmos. It creates individuals, multiple perception, creativity, the multicultural and much more. It creates values and sciences and methods of all sorts.
A Diverse Whole gathers up all of these elements and coordinates them, unites them into a great whole, a whole that is flexible and open and in constant development.
Undifferentiation is the opposite process to differentiation, it stresses things like organization, commonality, models, logic etc. Undifferentiation works with differentiation to create a whole, though undifferentiation is in the main a secondary force in the world. Diversity is the primary force, that is why the wholes we create become Diverse Wholes, otherwise they would be rigid and hierarchical.
At times, undifferentiation may be primary or in some respect in some specific problem, but overall it retreats to its natural secondary position.
History and personal development can present us with two kinds of situations. In one we are faced with too much differentiation, in this case we need to reduce the extremes and coordinate a whole to end the chaos and war.
In another condition, we find there is not enough differentiation. Here we must reduce organization and commonality to free up difference, to free up the individual, to free up the parts.
Negative differentiation creates these two kinds of situations. It creates the rigid condition because sometimes too much differentiation can lead to a reaction of control, or forces in the situation will seize power and try to create an authoritarian culture.
Positive differentiation is the method of keeping an evolving individual or society in balance, that is keeping the differentiation from getting extreme and keeping the undifferentiation from leading to seizure and control.
Shell Culture can create some complications in trying to fix a problem in nation. A Shell Culture is a special situation where public values and actual practice diverge; this creates a circumstance where we have two social behaviors in contradiction to each other. One is professed by a system; the other is actually the preferred and fundamental way. Another Shell contradiction would be between two opposing behaviors where each is very extreme, both evolving from an initial shell-thinking contradiction.
For example, we have in the US both extreme individuality and group-think co-existing. Extreme individuality is normal individuality gone wild. At the same time, we have group-think created by marketing, entertainment, politics and consumerism. How can this be? It is odd but they do work together, we find in individuals a little of both. In cases like this, the strategy of change must be complex. And it is hard to say which is the primary focus in a given situation; only experience really tells us.
One more point about wholes and differentiation. When we get in a condition of too much differentiation, we can rely on a state of mind called the Subsume. This mindset is oriented toward wholes, it thinks in terms of merging and submerging, confusion and fusion, connections and unities. It is the exact opposite of the method that stresses distinction and separateness. When we see too much differentiation like alienation and strife, we long for the whole. We want to return to a time when there was a genuine whole. The Subsume state of mind communicates to us the feelings and perceptions of this time.
The Subsume is also a physical state because differentiation actually begins from specific origin points. Modern social differentiation began with the tribal Subsume long ago. Life began in some yet undetermined Subsume early in our planet’s history. All existence began in the Subsume of the Big Bang. There are other examples of this Subsume idea.
In any case, the relation of the whole and the part is essential to understand our Social Diverse.
