This course will investigate the origins, development, and historical impact of agricultural production industries in the United States. It will pay particular attention to technological, political, and policy developments that have influenced American agriculture, as well as the impact of American agricultural production and trade on the world. The course will also include various Indigenous farming and herding practices and their cultural significance.Â
