This course examines the horse industry in depth beginning with production & management systems including breeds, anatomy, physiology, behavior, health & diseases, facilities, breeding and genetics, reproduction, and nutrition. Identification and study will be influenced by the Minnesota FFA Horse Evaluation CDE. Instruction will include classroom and laboratory settings. Supervised agricultural experience, The Agricultural Experience Tracker, and FFA will be integrated, as appropriate throughout.
