This is an advanced course in Algebra, with emphasis placed on applications later on in the year. Students will begin with an intense review of the basics in Algebra. Students will then study quadratics, conic sections, complex numbers, sequences and series, and a basic understanding of logarithms. Each of these concepts requires a thorough knowledge of the basics that this course begins with. Algebra II places greater importance on practical problems and encourages the everyday use of Algebra to solve them. Students will hone their deductive reasoning skills and implement them in more advanced mathematical and non-mathematical situations.
