How much sugar is too much sugar? What’s so great (or not great) about carbs? These and other questions will be answered as we study food choices, the nutrients and energy they supply, and how this influences your food intake. We will learn through hands - on activities and lab experiences. Topics will include: nutrition for fitness, diet and our energy needs, current concerns in diet and wellness, pre-competition food selection and healthier food preparation techniques.
