Event planning and management is designed for students interested in learning about this “love your job”, multi-billion dollar industry. Students are introduced to many facets of event planning including: site selection, budgeting, promotion, catering, product and experience design. Students will organize, plan, and evaluate various events. Examples included, but not limited to, trade shows, sporting events, weddings, community festivals, workshops, conferences and virtual events. Practiced skills include reserving the event sites, acquiring permits, planning food, coordinating transportation, developing a theme, arranging for activities, selecting speakers and much more.
