This course examines the companion animal industry in depth beginning with production & management systems including species and breeds, anatomy, physiology, behavior, health & diseases, facilities, breeding and genetics, reproduction, and nutrition. Identification and study will be influenced by the Minnesota FFA Small Animals CDE. Instruction will include classroom and laboratory settings. Supervised agricultural experience, The Agricultural Experience Tracker, and FFA will be integrated, as appropriate throughout.
