This course will focus on novels, with emphasis on point of view, plot, character, setting, and theme. Students will compare and contrast contemporary works with traditional works, and read from many different cultural perspectives and genres. Students will work on reading for understanding, analyzing literature, inferencing, as well as comparing and contrasting.
