Introduction to Organic Chemistry is a must for any student anticipating majoring in a field related to health, pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, food science, or material sciences. Organic chemistry is the study of the structure, properties, composition, reactions, and preparation of carbon-containing compounds. This course focuses on the basics of organic chemistry and is intended as a primer for any college organic chemistry class. Topics include nomenclature and reactions involving the major functional groups, stereochemistry, and acids/bases.
