Students learn that there is more to forensic science than what they see on TV. Students see how the other sciences they studied as underclassmen are a big part of forensic science. Topics covered include but are not limited to: forensic toxicology, handwriting analysis, forgery, and counterfeiting, blood and blood spatter, and firearms and ballistics. Students taking this course will also use their deductive reasoning skills, including how to play the game “Clue”. Interactive lab activities, classwork, and speakers are incorporated into the basics of this course. The course will end with a final crime scene using the knowledge they have gained from the course.
