This course is focused study on actual hands-on skill building in the field of welding. It will be a fast paced course with focused laboratory practice time. Arc, MIG, Oxy/Acetylene welding and cutting, plasma cutting, TIG and the Plasma CAD Cam equipment will be used. A majority of this class time will be spent building skills through practice, self-reflection, peer review and guided practice. Completion with passing scores on all safety tests and assessments is required prior to laboratory practice. Failing safety procedures may result in removal from class. An emphasis will be placed on the development of orderly and safe lab procedures. Supervised agricultural experience, The Agricultural Experience Tracker and FFA will be integrated, as appropriate throughout. Offered concurrently.
