This course will include diverse and varied educational units connecting scientific principles with mechanical skills. Students will develop knowledge and skills in the application of principles and techniques of power, structural and technical systems used in the agricultural industry; particularly agricultural production and service. Instruction will include classroom and laboratory settings. Major areas of study may include but are not limited to surveying, small gas engines, basic practices of soil and water management, wind energy, and basic carpentry. An emphasis will be placed on the development of orderly and safe lab procedures. Supervised agricultural experience, The Agricultural Experience Tracker, and FFA will be integrated, as appropriate throughout.
