Gelatin

The assignment was to create nine sets of three gelatin prints. There really is no subject but I have a feather in all of them, so that might be a subject. We had to take ink and spread it onto a metal piece that was attached to the table. Then we spread the ink on the gelatin and placed different materials that had texture on the gelatin. A piece of paper was put on top of the materials, which made one print. The materials were taken off after that and a new piece of paper was placed on the gelatin. After the first two prints, there wasn't much ink left, but one more piece of paper was put on top of the gelatin, which made the ghost print.

I used texture to make the designs on the prints. There was also a different contrast of colors, ranging from dark blue to white. Each print was different because we changed the patterns.

I thought the feather was really cool and it looked cool on the paper, so I wanted to put it on my prints. I'm proudest of how well the feather showed up. I think that all of the prints are really dark so I would put less ink on the gelatin.
