Tigers, especially in India, are being killed not only as a result of poaching, but also habitat destruction. This fact is not as widely focused on, so I decided to do something on habitat destruction with this project. I tried to convey the idea that the tiger is 'crying for help', which is why I have the ruined forest in his mouth. In my past projects, I've mainly focused on poaching as a cause for tiger endangerment, but I wanted to focus on something different this time.

I've never used Photoshop before and I wanted to try something new. I took an image of a roaring tiger and then another image of a destructed forest. I changed the opacity of the forest image so that I could see where the tiger's mouth was and then erased the excess so that the image would fit inside the tiger's mouth. I then returned the opacity back to 100%. For the background, I added a regular forest and added the pastel lines to give it more color. I went over the contours of the tiger's face with black pen to make it more emphasized, as well as adding more pastel colors of the fur. I made a practice image before the final product because I wasn't familiar with photoshop. If I were to add more, I would maybe add in some text or more detail to the background.
