DESCRIBE:

The subject of this image is my lab and her puppy. The setting is their dog bed, with my living room in the background. My dogs are very playful so it was easy to capture this image. While they were playing, I got down low with them and took multiple photos while they played. This was my favorite shot because they looked so vicious but in reality they were just playing. After I put it in grayscale and inverted it to make my print, I painted hearts in different shades of red. I figured the hearts would be a good contrast from their "fight." I chose to create this image because dogs are known as being extremely loyal.

ANALYZE:

This image shows the composition sharp focus because many textures appear in the image like on the dog bed and their fur. It also shows the composition rule of thirds because the dogs are playing towards one side of the image rather than in the center. Originally, I painted a sunny scene on the image to compare their fight to light but then I figured that since they're mother and son, that I should do hearts. It was just mothers day and no matter how rough their fights get, they always love each other.

EVALUATE:

The meaning behind this image is to remember who is there for you. Dogs fight all the time but at the end of the day, they just wanted to play and they love each other. The same goes for people. We get into fights with people we love but at the end of the day, we realize who really cares for us. This relates to my life because I have had experiences in my life that have made me lose and gain people, everyone has. I think this image could be a little stronger if it was brighter because it was taken at night with a flash. If it showed a little more of the dogs features then I think it could be stronger.
