Complimentary Color

DESCRIBE:

The subject of this image is two teddy bears with red bows in front of a green wall. To create this image, which is also the reason I chose this image, is because when I looked around my room for the brightest complementary colors I could find. I noticed the bright red bow ties on the bear and spent too long looking around my room for something green before I realized my wall was the perfect color green... The red and green colors compliment each other and form a unity to make each other stand out more. The little bear is sat between the legs of the bigger bear in order to show protection and support. After that, I highered the brightness and contrast in the photos app, and then used the clone stamp on photoshop to get rid of any paint chip marks on my wall.

ANALYZE:

This image shows the composition formal balance. If the image were to be split directly down the middle, then it would be symmetrical. It also uses the composition high key lighting. This is because the image and colors are very bright and noticeable. Originally, I was going to take an image outside to include my concentration but it's the time of year where everything is dull and there is no color outside so I was unable to create and image that I liked. I was sitting in my room thinking about what to do when the bear caught my eye, then the image was made from there on...

EVALUATE:

The meaning behind this image is to show that someone will always have your back. There's always going to be someone to look up to. Everyone has their problems and struggles and life and a lot of people feel alone because they don't realize who's there for them. I had cancer at a young age and I am now dealing with a paralyzed stomach for the past 4 years and there is one person who has had my back through the whole thing. My mom. She has been to every doctor's appointment, been with me through all the pain. The good, the bad, and the horrible times. Without her, I wouldn't be who I am today and that's why people should realize that they have someone. Someone will support you, sometimes it's hard to find but I am lucky to have my "someone." I think this image would be stronger if the bear's fur was neater. I didn't realize how messy it looked until it was too late.
