Ansel Adams, Tetons from Signal Mountain.
I am drawn to this photo because it is very simple yet so beautiful. It shows something beautiful that most people wouldn't pay attention to. I also like how it has a dark setting but once again, it's a beautiful thing.
Helen Sear, Becoming Forest, Untitled 1 , 2016-2017, 105cm x 105cm.
I am drawn to this photo because I spend a lot of time in the woods. I love coming across interesting things in the woods. Finding little treasures, markings, or trash always makes me curious as to what the story behind it is and how it got there. You can be creative and come up with stories but it will always remain a mystery. I find that interesting.
John Shaw, Bond Falls, Michigan, 2013.
I am drawn to this photo because of its mood. With the warm colors and smooth water it gives off a very relaxing vibe. It makes you imagine the sounds a waterfall makes and is just overall soothing.
Carr Clifton, Changing With The Times, 2008.
I am drawn to this photo because it was taken in Alaska which is a state I love. I have been to Alaska before so I know how beautiful it is to see in person. The reflection of color in the water is what really drew me in. I really like how the water was more emphasized because of the colors.
Loretta Lux, The Waiting Girl, 2006.
I am drawn to this photo because it makes me curious. It looks as though the little girl is waiting but what could it be for? And what part does the cat play? Or the couch and it different print. The picture really makes me think, I like that.
