Don Worth Biography

Don Worth was born on June 2, 1924. He died later on March 18, 2009. He had lived in Hayes County, Nebraska. Don also had a love for singing and in 1952, went on to studied at Manhattan School of Music and then later went to Juilliard School of Music. Don's photography is mostly about plants with a quiet and meditative mood. Other types of photos he does are the complete opposite. They have wide open spaces and have some sort of weather theme like fog or mist. All of his photos are edited with soft grey tones. His influence was a farm that he lived on in Iowa, which is where he first grew interested in photography. He is well-known because he won the Guggenheim Fellowship for Creative Arts in the US and Canada in 1974. His work has also been displayed in over fifty solo exhibitions and over 100 group exhibitions.
