Feet

DESCRIBE:

The subject of this image is the feet. The setting is the sun shining through the window onto the feet which sets a happy mood. To create this image, I had my friends stand in front of the window so the trees and snow would be in the back, and captured the photo as the sun was shining on them. I cropped most of their bodies out and changed the image to black and white on the photos app. I chose this image because every idea I had didn't really work out and of all the photos I took, this one caught my eye the most. I like the lines that the window frame provided. I think they give the image a little contrast.

ANALYZE:

This image shows the composition rule of thirds because of the positioning of the legs and also because of the window frame. When I first had the idea of this image, both the sets of feet had their toes in the air but then I decided that if they were in different positions, it would provide a sort of contrast. I also decided the photo looked better in black and white because it brought out the shadows better.

EVALUATE:

The meaning behind this image is that you should face the good things in life instead of sitting around and letting them go to waste. Appreciate what is given to you, even the small things. This relates to my life because as a child I had a cancer and that taught me that I need to appreciate the good things and see the good in everything. I believe this photo is a good way of representing that. One thing I wish I could change would be the scenery in the background. I wish it were more neat because it looks messy and almost like there is too much going on.
