Passion is a big part of someone, it is a very big part of someone. Passion means that you love to do something and it is something that you do a lot. Passion has so much meaning to someone it tells you that it is important to them. Mrs. Maurine Taufer is one of the first to bring a children's dance class to CMC in the early 1980s. I have been a part of dance programs she has started. Mrs. Maurine and I both have a lot of passion for dance.

Mrs.Maurine Taufer really shows a lot of passion for dance. She loves to watch her dancers dance all the time and works very hard to make sure that the dancers have time to dance. “ It is magical to watch the pure joy in moving that I get to see when I’m in dance class” ( Post Independent ATHENA award goes to Glenwood´s Mother of dance, Maurine Taufer April 26,2019 ) Also Mrs. Maurine loves to be in an environment with her dance students. “I’m thrilled to get to be with my current and former students, and such inspiring and incredible people.”( Post Independent ATHENA award goes to Glenwood´s Mother of dance, Maurine Taufer April 26,2019 ) Passion is very important in her life, and if she did not have it, her dancers would not be this talented.

I am also someone who shows passion. “I love to dance and dance is something that I do a lot.” Dance is also a big part of me. For example, one week in May, I had two dance performances, I was in the talent show that week and I danced Dandelion Day in Carbondale. Dancing is something I love and I love helping littles with dance. “ I love to help the littles and when my dance teachers need help with them they ask me if I want to help with that class.” I would love to be able to have an actual dance space rather than dancing at CMC.

Mrs. Maurine and I love to dance and both of us would love to have a dance space. Mrs. Maurine has come so far, and has gone through hard times. She lost the Center for the Arts space and then found a space at CMC. She deserves something special. On Friday, April 26th, 2019 she was awarded the ATHENA award. The ATHENA award is an award ¨Which traditionally honors a female leader in the community or someone who has empowered women to succeed.¨ ( Post Independent ATHENA award goes to Glenwood´s Mother of dance, Maurine Taufer April 26,2019 ) Mrs. Maurine means so much to me. She is one of the best dance teachers I ever will have.

While I was thinking and picking the fonts and colors for the word passion I had a hard time. It took some time. I thought and thought and final decided to do different fonts and colors. I thought that the colors would be good colors that represent passion. I also, thought that the colors of my word would also represent it. I think both letters that are Blue are bold that is like a big part of someone. The Red is beautiful just like the beautiful things in your life. The Pink and the Yellow are the sweetness like the sweetness that you love to do. The Orange is the best just like the thing you love to do is the best. The Turquoise is what my eye goes to first like that person that is helping you do the thing you love and is doing it and is amazing at it.

Dance is a big part of Mrs.Maurine and I and we do it a lot. I don’t think I have already said this but, Passion is a good quality to have because it is a huge part of you and you can learn so much from doing something that you love. This quality can help social leaders of change because it can help them teach other people and it can help them in life with getting places (etc). This matters because it can help you with so many things.
