Diligent is an important trait for me to lead social change. The definition of diligent is having of showing care and conscientious in one’s work or duties. Diligent is similar to a hard worker. Harper Kaufman is a farmer in our local community. She is a leader of social change because she grows her own food. I am a leader of social change because I am learning about how to help others be healthier. Diligence is a characteristic that Harper Kaufman and I share because we both show hard work.

Harper Kaufman never knew she was going to be a hard working farmer in High School. In the GlenX video: Harper Kaufman Two Roots Farm/ GlenX Career Expo Spring 2018, Harper said, “We would work alongside each other pruning trees or laying down straw. . . all the while we go to share others stories.” She is a hard worker because she would use teamwork and it probably was difficult. She also said “I still can't get over the sense of fulfillment and pride and seeing my hard work pay off as food on someone’s plate.”This shows an accomplishment to grow food.

I also like seeing my hard work pay off, as I am diligent. Five days ago I took a test and I thought I was not going to reach my goal, but I tried my hardest and I got to my goal. Without trying my hardest I would probably not have reached my goal. If I did not show diligence during my test I would feel sad for not reaching my goal. I felt accomplished. Now I see why Harper Kaufman and I are similar.

First to make diligent a logo I had to choose a cool font and write diligent 3 times in different fonts and colors. I chose one I liked the most. I also needed to choose a size that someone could see from 30 feet away. My font is blue and bold and curvy and I chose it because bold means to me that your a hard or strong worker. I chose a curvy font with blue because curvy things are cool and blue so people can see it from far away and can read it. I noticed that diligence means you always have to put effort into your work. This means you can be diligent by making something high quality.

Diligence is a good word to use in hard times.To be diligent is important because most people have hard times in life and try really hard. Most leaders that lead social change should work really hard and be diligent to get what they want or to change the world for people. Diligence allows people who lead social change to make the world a better place for others.
