Compassion means to me to be kind to the people around me and to be useful to people even if you do not know them. Compassionate is similar to being kind and respectful. Kind means being nice to the people around you and respectful means when someone is talking you don't interrupt. Jackie Robinson used compassion by being kind to people around him and being respectful to himself. I show compassion when someone was talking and I was respectful with my body and actions and I was respectful and kind to the people around me when there was a speaker talking. Compassion helps me and Jackie Robinson change our world and make it a better place by being kind.

Jackie Robinson’s quality is compassion because he was compassionate to the people around him. He was a very nice guy. He did not listen to the people around him that were negative. Jackie shows compassion when is he was still respectful to the people that were mean to him and he was still kind to the people did not like him. In Promises to Keep, by Sharon Robinson, it says on page 7, “I admired most about my father was how he stayed in the game until the end. He stood firm even when his opinion wasn’t popular.” This shows he is compassionate because he was still nice even if people did not agree with him. He made a change because he changed the color barrier so people can play baseball even if they look different.

Another person that shows compassion is me. I show compassion by being kind to and respectful to other people. Even if they look different, I am still kind. One time I used compassion when I was kind to someone and they were kind to me. I was respectful to the people around me and they were respectful when I was talking to them. They never interrupted me when I would talk to them. Compassion helps both Jackie Robinson and I create a better world.

In order to make my personal quality, compassion, into a brand I had to make specific design choices. I choose PERMANENT MARKER as a font because it was big and bold. Big and bold shows compassion because it stands out, like people who are respectful stand out. With the big and bold word, I decided to use a shadow. It reminded me of how my compassion shadows on others. I picked the color red because it stood out with my word and it made it pop. Also, the color red is strong, just like the level of my compassion.

Compassion is important because if everyone was kind and respectful you can make a difference in the world. Leaders of social change must have compassion because they must be kind and respectful to make a change. This is important because if you want respect, you have to give respect.
