My personal quality is tolerance. The definition of this quality, according to “Britannica Kids”, is “willing to accept feelings, habits, or beliefs that are different from your own.” Tolerance is similar to equality, because both kind of mean how everyone should be treated right. But they are different because equality is about treating everyone the same, but tolerance is about accepting people for who they are. A leader of social change that has shown tolerance is Jackie Robinson, Jackie Robinson used tolerance when he was playing baseball and I've used quality when making new friends.Tolerance helps me and Jackie Robinson change our world and make it a better place by not caring how people look.

A leader who demonstrates tolerance is Jackie Robinson. Jackie Robinson did not care if people were black, white, yellow, or green he just cared about their personalities. In “This I Believe” by Jackie Robinson, it says, “I believe in the human race. I believe in the warm heart. I believe in the man's integrity.” Jackie also shows tolerance because he wants to fight for something that has not been fought for yet. The fight he is talking about is the fight against discrimination. In “This I Believe” he says, “I believe in the goodness of a free society. And I believe that the society can remain good only as long as we are willing to fight for it. And to fight against whatever imperfections may exist.” A change Jackie Robinson did to help is that he believed everyone should be treated equally and we should not hate others because they are different.

Another person who shows tolerance is me. I have shown tolerance when my Dad got told to go back to Mexico. This made me really sad and mad at the same time, and I had to learn that not everyone has tolerance. I needed this quality in my life to know that everyone is different, and to accept people by who they are and not by how they look. Another example of a time I have used tolerance is when my best friend Jackie came to our school in 4th grade. It was her first year and I asked her if she wanted to be my friend, not caring how she looked or how she sounded. And that's how you can welcome someone you don't know to be your best friend. I can be a leader of social change by using tolerance to make sure everyone is safe or included even if they look different.

In order to make my personal tolerance into a brand, I had to make specific design choices. I chose Audiowide because each letter is different which connects to tolerance. I did a shadow because it added something different and not similar to other people. I choose black, purple, and pink because it makes the word tolerance pop out by making it shine. Tolerance should stand out because everybody should have tolerance.

Tolerance helps both Jackie Robinson and me create a better world. Being tolerant is important because people need to change and treat everyone equally. Leaders of social change must have tolerance because they need to treat people equally. This is important because if everyone was treated equally then everyone would feel safe and not be scared, and more people would get along with each other.
