My name is Jordan Burt and I am a senior majoring in history with a concentration in education. I grew up in Virginia Beach, Virginia which is where I currently am. For most of my life I was a competitive softball player, 12 and a half years of my life were dedicated to the sport. Softball provided me with many life skills that I still use today such as team work, time management and communication. I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to travel around the United States playing the sport that I love as well as having the opportunity to play at the collegiate level. I have always had a passion about history, but was never sure what direction to go in so that I could use my knowledge. History and softball are not the only things that make me who I am, I also enjoy painting, coloring, being creative with makeup, watching mystery/crime shows or documentaries, line dancing and going to mud bogs. I have 4 animals, one dog and three cats.

Hi there Jordan! I really like the way that you have your page set up. I too believe it is important to go the extra mile for all of your students. I'm happy to see someone who cares just as much about their future students as I do. It was nice meeting your through this page! - Kearsten Rice
Hey there! I am also majoring in History! I'm guessing you have been to Hawaii because you have the USS Arizona on the background. It definitely was a surreal feeling when I was there. You mentioned "I will be understanding knowing that every student has a life and not everything revolves around school." That stood out to me because you are absolutely right. School is important but it shouldn't be overwhelming. They have lives outside of the classroom that we need to be understanding of. Good luck your senior year!!- Jackson Robles
Hey Jordan! I want to start off by saying your eyes are so pretty! Personally, Iv'e never been a big fan of history but I think it's great that you are! From my experiences I've never had good history teacher but it seems like you"ll be a great one based off your "The Teacher I Will Become" section. Also, I like that your page background has a history theme. Good work and I wish you the best! _Kayla Chambers
