In math, we like to give things names so we can refer to them easily. What do you think this angle could be called?
Vertex: the common endpoint of two rays that form an angle.
There are three ways to name angles:
If you label the angle, you can call it the label. (Angle 1 in the picture)
If the vertex of the angle has a letter, you can call the angle that letter name. (Angle C in the picture)
You can name the angle by a series of 3 letters where the vertex is the middle letter. (Angle ACB or BCA in the picture)
1. Draw a Batman symbol in angle ACB.
2. Sign your name between angles BCF and EFC with your "wrong hand."
3. Draw a pattern inside of angle DCA.
4. Write your favorite food in angle DCF.
5. Draw anything you want in angle HFG.
6. Draw a squiggly line over the top of line segment CF.
Compare your drawing with your neighbor. Did you both put all the parts in the same places?
