What is a two-column proof?
A proof logically shows why a conjecture is true. A two-column proof shows the steps on the left column and the property that justifies each step in the right column.
There are lots of properties and postulates that we will use throughout Geometry. Today, we will focus on these:
Note: while "congruent" and "equal" are similar concepts, we use "congruent" when talking about shapes and we use "equal" when talking about numbers. Two triangles are congruent. If two segments have the same length, they are of equal length.
