First, you set-up the problem by writing the larger number on top.

Next, you write the two-digit number underneath so it's lined up on the right, and draw a line underneath.

Then, starting with the right column, multiply the two numbers. Write the answer underneath. Carry numbers as you have before.

Continue this pattern until you have multiplied all digits on the top line.

Then, underneath your "answer," write an X or 0 under the right-most number. Then, repeat this whole process using the first digit of the two-digit number.

Be careful of the numbers you carry the second time! You might want to erase or cross out the numbers you carried the first time.

Once you are finished, add the two "answers" together to get your final answer.
