What about your carnival game idea makes it hard to win? Will your players *think* it's hard to win?
Compound events are events consisting of two or more simple events.
Examples of simple events are rolling a die and getting a 3, spinning a spinner and getting a 2, flipping a coin, or picking a red marble out of a bag.
Independent events: this occurs when the two events are independent of each other (one does not impact the outcome of the other). To find compound probabilities for independent events, you multiply the probabilities of the simple events.
Examples:
P(rolling three dice and getting 3 4's) =
P(flipping 4 coins and getting 4 heads) =
P(having two kids, both girls) =
P(spinning red, then black) =
