Drawing equilateral triangles?
METHOD:
Set your compass to some length, and keep it that way
Draw a point, A
Put the compass on point A and draw two arcs (roughly where the other two vertices will be)
On one of arcs, put a point B (where ever you want)
Put the compass on Point B, and draw an arc that intersects with the other arc (that doesn't have a point on it)
Put point C on that intersection
Connect the points - you have a triangle!
Drawing 30-60-90 triangles?
METHOD:
Draw a line segment
On one end of the segment, construct a 30 degree angle
On the other end of the segment, construct a 60 degree angle
Connect the two lines!
Drawing 45-45-90 triangles?
METHOD:
Draw a line segment
On one end of the segment, construct a 45 degree angle
On the other end of the segment, construct a 45 degree angle
Connect the two lines!
With your neighbor, add to your notes the process for constructing:
equilateral triangles
45-45-90 triangles
30-60-90 triangles

For a 3, complete this worksheet.
For a 4, use at least 7 triangles (at least one of each of these types) to draw something creative and beautiful.
