- Deal each person 4 cards, and put the remaining cards in a stack. Turn up one card to create a discard pile
- On your turn, you can either take a card from the deck, or take the top card from the discard pile, then discard one card from your hand
- Gameplay continues clockwise until one person says "ZERO!" and shows that the sum of their hand equals zero
