First, let's have a competition. This will be like Fraction Scattergories.

When I say go, you and your team will brainstorm and write down a list of as many ways that fractions show up in the real world that you can come up with. Here are some examples:

• If you peel an orange, it has 10 parts

• Recipes use fractions of cups, teaspoons, and tablespoons

• Time signature in music
