Our scheme of work follows a Year 1 and 2 curriculum plan and covers the following year groups:

Commitment to Safeguarding:
An environment will be created where learners feel comfortable to express their feelings and frequently do so with support from staff and the rest of the group. Learners will be consistently encouraged to respect and support each other in all aspects of their study with constant support from staff. An awareness of personal safety and the importance of appropriate behaviour will be embedded in the curriculum. Health and safety in the class and school will be reinforced throughout the course of study. All necessary measures will be taken to ensure the physical environment is safe for learners.

Throughout all our Schemes of work we embed subjects across the educ8s curriculum Including English, Maths, ICT, PSHE/RSE and Careers information and guidance (CIAG)

Democracy
All learners will have the opportunity to have their views voiced and heard. This can take place through many different means such as group discussions, votes and debates.
Individual Liberty
Educ8 will encourage a safe supportive environment where learners are encouraged to make their own choices. Whether that is choosing a challenging task or a decision around behaviour. All learners will have the freedom to base their choices on their own individual interests. All learners will be taught about their rights and personal freedoms, and are encouraged and advised on how to exercise these safely
Rule of Law
All learners will be encouraged to follow all school rules and understand consequences if they are broken. All learners will help develop the rules through their induction process. Throughout the delivery learners will be exposed to the laws within the school, local area and country.
Mutual respect and tolerance
All learners are treated with respect and learn to treat each other and all members of staff with respect regardless of faith, race, religion, Sexual orientation, disabilities, and gender. During these lessons learners will be able to explore different faiths and religions and encourage learners from different faiths or religions to share their knowledge with their peers.
Social, Moral, Spiritual and cultural development
Spiritual Development
During the range of activities on offer to learners at Educ8 (core or BTEC lessons), learners can develop a sense of enjoyment and fascination in learning about themselves, others and the world around them. Learners should be consistently encouraged to use their imagination and creativity in their learning and showcase a willingness to reflect on their own and other experiences.
Moral Development
essons will help learners understand and follow site and class rules, and understand their responsibilities within society. This will help learners understand the difference between good choices and bad choices, right and wrong. It will help students understand the consequences for their actions both positively and negatively.
Social Development
Learners can use a range of social skills in different contexts, including working and socialising with learners and staff members from different religious, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds. The willingness to participate in a variety of social settings, cooperating well with others and being able to resolve conflicts effectively. An interest in and understanding of, the way communities and societies function at a variety of levels. Learners can also develop their friendship and social mixing through group discussions, role plays and debates.
Cultural Development
Educ8 will provide opportunities and expose learners to conversations and topics that will help to develop positive attitudes towards different religious, ethnic and socio-economic groups in the local, national and global communities.
