Good morning! Today is D-Day and we have Music. Did you enjoy our field trip to space to learn about slime? I learned a ton of new stuff from that video! Did anyone make slime at home? Seranova sent me some pictures of her slime. It was cool! I miss you all! Below is your work for the day.

Reading-

First, Listen to Strega Nona by Tomie DePaula.

Stop and Answer questions along on the way. Examples of questions to answer orally-

  1. Where does the story take place?

  2. Who are the characters in the story?

  3. What is the problem in the story?

  4. Make a prediction- what will happen in the story?

  5. What was the solution to the problem?

  6. Make a connection to the story- was there a time you didn’t follow directions?

Next, re-read an old Surfer of the week keep book for fluency.

Last, read a book of your choice on Epic or at home for 10 minutes.

Writing- After listening to Strega Nona please respond to the creative writing prompt below on a plain piece of paper.

Prompt: If you had your own magical pasta pot what would they make come out of it? What would the rhyme/poem you would say to make it become magical?

Last, play Four in a Row with a grown up. **Tip**In school we play who can get the most connect fours in a row. This allows the game to go on longer and gives the students a chance to read more words



Math- Log into pearsonsuccessnet.com to complete the math assignment.Do lesson 20 lesson 6. Please watch the video, do the guided practice and take the quiz. Don’t skip any of the parts! Do the workbook page along with lesson 20-6.
