PARENTS- Could you please screenshot pictures of some student work from this week. It is important that I see the work to check for quality and completion. Next week I will begin asking for daily screenshots of completed work.
Please screenshot and send the following:
1. Math workbook page from lesson 14-8,
2. Spring writing assignment (either the poem or the paragraph you wrote)
3. Writing about your favorite three little pig story.
4. Book report using story from EPIC!
Reading/Writing- First, read the book I assigned to you on EPIC! It will be waiting for you when you log on. After you finish reading you will complete a book report. I have added a picture to show you which book report you should complete.
Next, illustrate pages 3-4 in the Spring Keep Book. Re-read it aloud to an adult, then read it once to yourself.
Last, read a book choice for 10 minutes and log it into your reading log
Handwriting- In your handwriting workbook complete pages 54-55 capital letter J
Spelling- Have a grown up give you a spelling test!!
Phonics/Making words-
First, Complete the long o worksheet.
Next, please glue in long o sentences. Read the sentences with your child and highlight the long o words spelled /oa/ /ow/. Then cut it out and glue it into your child’s Red reading journal, next to the long o words we glued in yesterday. Let your child re-read you all the long o words.
Last, pick a long o word and ask your child to write the word. It can be on a mini white board, piece of paper or even chalk on your driveway. After your child writes the word check to make sure he/she spelled it correctly. If your child is having a hard time spelling the word, remind him/her to say the word slowly to hear all the sounds in the word. Continue this procedure with at least 10 words (Please don’t use the spelling words, choose different ones from the list)
More Long O Videos!
Math- (Topic 14-9) Log into pearsonsuccessnet.com to complete the math assignment. It is topic 14 lesson 9. Please watch the video, do the guided practice and take the quiz. Don’t skip any of the parts! Then complete a workbook page that goes along with 14-9.
Science- Log onto Science. Once you have logged in, look to the top left corner. You will see a small symbol with 3 dots and 3 lines. Click on that. A drop down menu will fall. Click on Life Science. Then click on lesson 7-Young Plants Look Like their Parents. Read/listen to the lesson. Then complete Wrap it up questions orally. Then go onto lesson 8- Plants Can be Different.
