Reading
First, log onto Pearson Realize and watch the video titled Draw Conclusions. (It will be assigned to you. Don't forget to send to teacher when finished.)
Then, complete Reader’s and Writer’s notebook page 523 (Do not send to teacher. We will use this all week.)
Next listen to me read Mole and the Baby Bird. Click on the video to the left. Please make sure an adult is working with you so you can stop the video to answer my questions.
Last, read for 10 minutes a book of your choice and log it into the Reading log.
Phonics
First, listen to my video introducing the different sounds of /ow/
Next complete readers and writer’s notebook page 521. (This focuses on the different sound of ow-long o and /ow/)
Last, Poetry-(2 days assignment due Wednesday)-We will look for ow words that have both the long O sound and the /ow/sound. Print/copy poem into Purple Poetry journal. Highlight all the words that have ow. Then see if the ow says /ow/ or / long O/ Illustrate a picture to go along with it.
Spelling - print and complete this worksheet. (You can also write it in a journal if you can't print! )
Math- Log into pearsonsuccessnet.com to complete the math assignment. Complete lesson 18.6. Please watch the video, do the guided practice and take the quiz. Don’t skip any of the parts! Complete the workbook page that goes with 18.6
Word Wall Words- Practice writing your words 3x’s each in the word wall word journal.
Science- We are now starting our units on Animals.

Use the drop down menu- go to life science
Then, go to 11- Animal Parts- Read the page, then answer the Wrap it up questions orally.
Next, go to 12- Animals See and Hear- Read the page, then answer the Wrap it up questions orally.
Last, Watch the Amazing Animal Defenses video to the left. After you have watched, discuss what you have learned with an adult.
Science-If you are having a hard time logging into Science I have recored the book so that you can still access it.
