Good morning first grade!! Today is D-Day. We have Art today! I hope everyone is doing well. I miss seeing your smiling faces every day. Did you enjoy watching Cinderella Rex? Which story did you like better, Cinderella Rex or Cinderella? Today you will listen to a book called Prince Cinders. I know you are going to love it! Listed below is your work for today. Thank you for all the hard work you have been doing online. Remember to take some breaks and try to spend some time outside if mom or dad allows it! Stay healthy!

Next, read books from Epic, U.S. Capital and The White House . They will be waiting for you on Epic, I assigned them to you!

Last, read a book of your choice and read for 10 minutes. Record it in the Daily Reading Log

Writing- Complete the google document page that is below. You can print it out, or make a similar one at home. Whichever is easier. Then list 3-4 things that only Cinderella did in her story on that part of the circle, then the same for Prince Cinders on his side. (Ex- Cinderella had 2 step-sisters, Prince Cinders had 2 brothers) Then in the middle part list 2-3 similarities the stories had in common.

Math- (Topic 14-2) Log into pearsonsuccessnet.com to complete the math assignment. It is topic 14 lesson 2. Please watch the video, do the guided practice and take the quiz. Complete math workbook page that goes along with topic 14-2.

Spelling words- Write each spelling word in a sentence. Make the sentences silly or serious! Remember to use capital letters and punctuation!

Phonics - Cut and assemble long e keep book. Use a highlighter or a light colored crayon and highlight all the long e words spelled /er/ /ee/ and /y/. Then read once together with an adult, then once by yourself. Save in a special spot so you can re-read throughout the week.

Social Studies- Read US Symbols magazine pages 8,9,10 and 11. After reading, watch the video on American Symbols. Discuss with a grown up.
